For people particularly interested in the game, a fan has set up a site analysing everything there is to know about Civ 5.

I love the absolutely brilliant use of Art Deco styled graphics on their main website. I hope it translates through to the full game. Great use of art.
I'll be purchasing this game too, I'd like to see some massive TTLG games going :D

Oh god. Pre-ordered it on Steam yesterday. I'm afraid I might die playing this. Just...one...more...turn...

Yes, please!
I'm a little embarrassed to say I spent the extra 10 bucks to get babylon. But, it's my birthday present to myself, so why not I say!

How long are you all intending on playing? I won't be able to grab it on release day, but it won't be long after til I do. If you're all gonna be firing up multiplayer games after a couple of weeks, then yeah, I'll join.

Are you seriously asking whether we'll be playing Civilization a couple of weeks after its release? Son, I'll most likely be playing it in a couple of years :D
There is only going to be basic multiplayer functionality upon release. More advanced multiplayer options such as PitBoss (where the game is stored on a remote server and players can log in and out as they please) will come later. So you'll probably be there when that's added. I would definitely be keen on some epic TTLG pitboss games.

So, bought Civ 3 off of Steam last night. Haven't played it in years, time for some good old mods. Any recommendations?
