If you end up using a checkpoint system, be sure to avoid any situation where a checkpoint throws you straight into a detection by the enemy. I think Alpha Protocol did this in one early level and it was frustrating as hell having to go back to an earlier save.

Isn't that what Renz linked to?
No, he linked to games on Steam which have no additional DRM besides being tied to the Steam platform. Eva was asking where he could get a Steam key
and a standalone, DRM-free key.
Point is most stores don't do that. You get one or the other.

Does Steam even count as DRM anymore? When I put my game on it I didnt need to modify anything or integrate the SteamAPI in any way. I haven't tried it, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work if I just copied the game folder Steam downloaded and ran it without steam...

Yes. Yes it does.
I'm certainly glad it doesn't
force developers to use the DRM, but a very large proportion of Steam games require it, and anyone using Steam pretty much needs to assume that games will use the DRM.
Steam will stop counting as DRM when they remove their DRM from the platform (and I'm not holding my breath for that).
