Personal favorite (and only mod I use, aside from the unofficial patches):

Not being able to see more than a foot in front of your face underwater was one of my biggest gripes with Oblivion.

Thank you friends. These are great! Just what I had in mind.

Has anyone ever tried seeing underwater without goggles? In the sea it just really hurts, in a swimming pool its a bit uncomfortable but you can see (blurry though), in a river you've no hope in hell because of all the mud on the bed being constantly churned up, lakes usually aren't clear enough to see much through either. I guess a trend of being able to see perfectly through water started with quake, when they didn't have the technical power to make water murky, and has never really been challenged.

Exactly

In Oblivion, there is nothing to see underwater, actually.
Besides, there are so many waterbreathing-enchanted items you can get doing quests that I don't really see the need in a clear water mod for as soon as you are underwater the water is pretty clear...
there are a lot of underwater breathing enchantments...true...but there are hidden items throughout the vast oceans of Oblivion...i've randomly found a deadric shield (can't remember where) and of course, "Fin Gleam" a decent glass helmet for noobie characters just off the coast of Anvil

Please tell me we're not debating realism in an Elder Scrolls thread? :erg:

The game is way too far from being realistic, and so there are mods that make it even less realicstic...
It just doesn't make sence to me.

I mean, there is no unique items you can't find elsewhere... Unless they are quest related, but in such case they are again way too possible to find with all those markers and detailed maps.

He gave you an example of a unique, non-quest item that's underwater in his post (?).

it is not a unique waterbreathing item though.
Besides, I 'stumbled' upon it, not even having in mind searching for it, so I can't really say it is hard to find. It is visible enough. (I had Jewel of the Rumare (a water breathing ring) on me then)
