So I was climbing in here again for fun and the climbing in T3 is much better than in t1 and 2 because of the GLOVES!! I remember having fun climbing in Legless at the PArty (the one that was converted to the T2 teaser trailer demo mission) and it was fun but would have been much better with gloves. I hope they keep them for T4!!!

Gloves aren't bad idea, but were useless in T: DS. And it's quite unrealistic when thief is climbing like spider-man: his feet aren't slipping off somehow although he haven't got...climbing boots?(what a lame). Rope arrows are still better idea, but if Garrett would be more agile(like Sam Fisher maybe), then climbing gloves could be very helpful and interesting, and it can be used in many new ways.

I had to climb up the clocktower on my first playthrough, since I missed the special loot at the top. At first I was a bit frustrated, but it turned out to be one of the most fun experiences with the game. :)

Yaaay, SotC!
Anywho, I did think that Garrett looked a bit silly climbing up a wall... then again, how silly would he look climbing up a rope?
So, minus 3rd person stuff... well, rope arrows win me over, if not just for the sound they make.
I've never climbed up the clocktower, I don't think, so I wouldn't know :erm:
Perhaps a happy mix of both would be cool. Jumping from wall to rope is a bit out there, but so is a giant wedge of cheese.

Exactly. Ever seen someone climb up an ordinary hanging rope before? There was a MythBusters episode on this, it was BUSTED, you just can't do it.

Iv'e seen people climbing up a hanging rope before, in P.E (Physical Eductaion for all you non Aussies) how is it impossible to climb a rope?
Beleg Cúthalion on 29/7/2008 at 07:01
There are ropes (more than an inch thick, though) hanging in every school gym here. :erg:

To be on the same wavelength, we're talking about a rope thin and light enough that it can be tied to an arrow before being fired vertically into soft wood, penetrating enough that it can support a human's weight. Even with the thinnest of ropes this would be a near impossible feat yet alone the HUGE ropes commonly used for rope climbing. Then you've also got to factor in Garret's sack of loot full of ill-gotten-gain and you have the embodiment of the anti-Santa, defying the laws of nature to deprive people of their shiny trinkets.
