Btw...a young man of 8 years old? How young does a person have to be before you consider him a boy? Kidding... In truth, as I consider "man" to be an attitude and presence of mind, I know some 40 year old 'boys'. :D :D
But as I am a decrepit wreck of 66 myself, nearly
everyone else is a boy. :D

Dude - you're old enough to be a Keeper - like a Jedi Master or something. Cool... :thumb:

The sign was one of those that has the raised plastic letters glued on a panel. The "S" had been broken off or scraped off.

Did you check whether his name was Garrett?
My immediate thought on reading that last message is that maybe he was lying about his name and had played Thief before...
Just me being suspicious.

Just me being suspicious. Keep it up. A little cynisism is good for the survival index. :D
Didn't think it was worth the effort. Besides, not many 8 year olds play Thief, to my knowledge. The youngest I am aware of is Kid Garrett who started at 10 I think, last year.

I know a kid who's 9 yrs old and loves Thief, but he doesn't really read any of the scrolls, prefers sword fighting in the open to sneaking, and has become an expert in the use of "Quicksave" and "Quickload" features. A true taffer slowly becoming he is.:thumb:

Heh, I should try that sometime. Sounds like something I'd do. :ebil:

A bit un-related, but since you mentioned your friend works in a library...
Next time you swing on by, ask him if they carry a book called "Constantine's Sword". I noticed it on a trip to B&N a little while ago. :)
