Thanks so much, fortuni! Much appreciated!

I fount it strange that Ricebug organised the walkthroughs by year, let alone putting them in a sortable table.
fortuni on 26/12/2020 at 14:09
What other way would you suggest?
They could be released individually but with 1200+ missions that thread would be a very long one.
I'm not sure how often Terry updated his walks but as bugs are reported, dml's made and as Athalle keeps making maps I regularly update my lootlists and walkthroughs with new information in them, and repost new annual packages, if I was to repost individual walks/lootlists most people would never notice that a new lootlist/walk had superseded a previous one in a thread with 1200+ entries.

Tbh I find it very good and organised to sort them by year like Ricebug did. There are so many FMs, the easiest way to find them is by first looking up the released year and then by alphabetical order. Anything else would end in chaos.

Releasing walkthroughs per year isn't that perfect solution. In FMSel release date is sometimes the same like latest update date. For example mission was released in 2010, but in FMSel it was shown that it was released in 2012 (because that's where latest version was released). Many times I was forced to look into ttlg forum when was original release of missions.
Oh, by the way, fortuni. I wanted to mention that The Skygem Conncetion from 2006 has no walkthrough. It's not really a request though, because mission isn't very difficult.

Here you go Taffer (
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SKVZH-ks7ygXdvm9od-iCDqdcLBKqvRm/view?usp=sharing) Skygem Connection, that was found in my 2006 lootlists.
If there was a better solution for releasing walkthroughs I would be happy to accommodate, but I'm not sure if it would be appropriate to change Ricebug's folders, and it does seem to be quite a lot of work for a solution that as many people would find unacceptable as those that would prefer it, but any other suggestions are welcome. Having said that players could easily unzip every walkthrough, both mine and Ricebug's and put them into one massive folder, then they would all be in alphabetical order. :p
And yes Galaer your right, the only guaranteed way of checking the correct release date is to check the forum, many a missions readme file has the wrong release date listed, and with updates sometimes years later it's all a bit confusing.

Fortuni:
Thank you for your hard work. You must have unbounded energy. :)
It is very helpful to have walkthroughs as a safety net when you get stuck/exasperated. They have helped me from just stopping a mission and moving on many times. Each mission is precious so I always like to finish all of them.
Since I play missions in chronological order, summarizing them by year works well for me.
bbb
Ps: Ricebug, if you are still listening, an enthusiastic thank you to you for all the work you did putting walkthroughs together.

I'm not sure if your problems were the same as Ricebug's but allow me to explain.
I'm talking from the perspective of someone who is stuck in a mission and wants answers. Your two choices are to search/peruse the release thread or to find a walkthrough. But now you have to first look up the year, download a zip, unpack it and then open the walkthrough. It's an unprecedented number of clicks for someone who is miffed cause they missed the key hidden in the dark 30 rooms back.
More pressing issue is that you can't just search for it, rarely do you find a walkthrough for a FM by Googling it. For example, you find out that Ascend the Dim Valley has a walkthrough cause of a post
you made in the thread but try Googling the others and you get nowhere.
It seems you are halfway to a better solution, just put it all 'as is' on Google Drive, no zips, and share that folder. And here's the thing, you can still organise by yearly sub-folders or whatever you wish, but now I can just search (or DL the whole lot if I want). It's still read-only for us and you can revoke it at any time. If you make a batch of updates, you do what you'd always do, make a post here.

It's an unprecedented number of clicks
The vast majority of missions release date is correctly listed in their read me file, but to save you a couple of occasional clicks you would prefer me to spend 2 months uploading every walk + lootlist I have ever made (1000+) onto GDrive, post them all individually into their respective threads, and then post one massive zip containing everything so you can find things a little quicker.
Or you could unpack half a dozen zips and put every walk & lootlist into a single folder yourself.
Erm...that's a couple of clicks for you, 1000's for me. :nono:
PS. I also have 100's of other files uploaded to GDrive, most of which would be of no interest to those looking for walkthroughs, so making my GDrive public is not a solution, so I would need to find another file sharing site that doesn't cost me anything and transfer everything over to that new file sharing site.
