Running RAID 1 (NVIDIA RAID) on my new computer and get that error when I try to play Deadly Shadows from the CD. I have no emulation software on my computer (I am guessing that the CD is seeing my RAID setup as 'emulation'). Is there anyway to get this to play?"

I have NVidia RAID 0 running, no problems with T3. Not sure about RAID 1 though.

Mistyped the level of RAID, I am doing Striping (which is level 0). Did you have to do anything to get it to work, or did it just work right away?

I think you can download the official No-CD Crack. :) It's also called the TDS editor. Apparently the copy protection is removed with this exectuable, so you should have no problem with it. But I don't know as I haven't installed it, so it might be that the CD check is removed, but the emulator code is still in. Just try it out.

I just downloaded the NoCD crack (not sure if it was the TDS editor) and it is working fine now. These copy protection schemes seem to cause more problems for people who legally own the game. If somebody pirated the game they would probably go get the NoCD crack right away and not bother about trying to get it to run legitimately.

You'd know if it was the TDS editor because it would have been a 300 MB download. Depending on your jurisdiction this may be the only legal way to solve the problem, as unofficial cracks are usually considered copyright infringement tools and prohibited by law.

I just got the link for the TDS editor and will give that a try. Thanks for the help with this.

If you use the editor you are safe, no matter where. I don't know if this has some disadvantages for playing the game, but I think the original game runs fine with it. Maybe somebody else can jump in and clarify this.
