Actually my level "The Serpentine Amulet" for the 10 rooms contest was made also with Thief Gold and it did very well and got 2nd place right behind the dromed veteran 'Darthslair' so what you said is proven wrong. Also people play Skacky's missions and love them and they're also made with the Thief Gold engine :ebil:
So how is it considered a reason for that when I obviously just proved you wrong? :o Oh burn! :joke:

Ease up there just a little, SneakyGuy. No need to get too aggressive. You made a good point (though perhaps "proved" isn't quite accurate), but no need to beat people up. ;)
As for me, I love Thief Gold missions and can't get enough of them. So as far as I'm concerned, you keep right on making them.

I wasn't really aggressive, was I? I was just trying to tell him why it was wrong for him to say that which kind of offended me. But thanks for understanding :D

It wasn't supposed to be offensive, it's just a reality that fewer people have Thief Gold installed as it was more difficult/impossible to get running on newer systems until NewDark showed up. For instance, I haven't bothered to install it yet, instead I rig up something through Thief 2 if I have to look into a Thief Gold mission.

well you should install it so you can play my missions and many other great FM's. It's your loss if you don't, just sayin' :laff:
Unless it doesn't work on your system I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be bothered to install it since it also has very nice FM's for it. I also have another question. Have you ever played the Thief 1 original missions?

I played them back around 2002 when I first came across the Thief games. Haven't played them since. I did play about 20 FMs for it though, back 'in the day.' At some point around 2008 I upgraded to a Geforce video card and Thief stopped working. So did Thief 2 which was very sad, but I found I could make it work if I used the original graphic driver that was packaged with the video card. So until NewDark came out, I was using the Nvidia drivers from 2008 because I didn't want to frig around with anything and break it.
Someday I'll get around to installing it again, though as I said, I can play the Thief Gold missions through Thief 2. I change the fam folders around and put the Gold textures in the Thief 2 directory. Though I'm sure there's probably a few other things that need switching over also, but NewDark handles it all really well.

Why wouldn't you just use Thief 2 to build a mission in the style of Thief Gold? Just use white light for everything and use the original textures...
