downwinder: I'll agree. Sometimes there are too many bugs because of the stress. Better if all could finish their FMs. i think the contest gonna be more fair too. I think this is because i never joined a contest. I want to take my time :)

You want me to published missions finished at time at the beginning Gaming/fixing phase, and allow the other to publish their missions during the phase?
Hmmm... Because I'm late this is something that would help me a lot! x) But I don't want to cheat because I'm the Contest Organizer... So so...
To do that I want at least a word from three different Contestants to be sure that they want to.
If we are only two guys in such situation that think that they won't make it because of lack of time, that would be unfair for the contestants who has sacrified their nights and days to finish their missions...
I want contestant's point of view about such arrangement. This is something pretty important.

I think this is what some people have suggested yes. At the start of the fixing phase (March 14th), those missions that are ready to be released get published. Then players have some days to play those before other missions get done and are released. Then every mission that has not yet been released will be released at the same time on the final deadline (March 28th?).
At least that's what I understood.

yes then as we play some of them,we will all be busy on missions,and boards giving others those final bits of time to complete there missions,and we get alot more missions spread out instead of one big clump of missions where everyone is playing differnt ones making it harder to do board on missions as so many will be going at once
i ussaly like to do smallest mission size's first,so i am sure you all have your way to pick what mission to play first :)

Actually, the idea is to do that the building phase will end at the 7th March or earlier. BUT only missions already finished will be published. The rest will be although NOT considerated as disqualified because the Gaming/fixing phase may be replaced by a Publishing Phase. Authors can submit and see their missions playable by gamers with their own threads during this period and then the very deadline will be at the 28th March. After the 28th March it will be too late and voting phase will start directly. Because the poll will be closed after two weeks of voting and last gaming and that players may be able to play published missions after published missions, I think that should do it! ^^ ...excepted if they did too puzzling or/and big missions... but I'm not sure that all contestants did that! xD

I can add that mine won't be done in time. I know it's my fault, but I was confused with the contest closing date, and I started to lose focus. I wasn't sure if I could make it in time for the various end-dates. So I decided to pull back and finish later. I should've asked for clarification.
I might randomly roll up some other mission ideas though and use them for future missions somewhere down the line. Some year in time.

About the deadline, this one was fixed and writen down in the main page! 28th Ferbrary initaly but to give more time 14th March! And now Tonight to 28th March to send and make me able to publish!
You know it was to the 28th Ferbrary! I gave extra time to help mappers to finish their mission! And all that you tell me is that despite your work and the extra time you won't make it and will work on other missions? Words are missing from my mouth... I just can't describe what I feel but... Ho man come on!!! Try to do your best to the very end! Give up after the last day!

Nope sorry, I've been working on some non-thief projects the last month or so, and have done very little work on my FM since. I've lost too much time. I guess I thought the deadline was only increased to March 14 and I didn't want to give the beta-testers some half-assed, non-completed version then as it's an insult to them and wastes everyone's time. So I sat back and assessed the work I had done and assumed I still couldn't it finish by then so I packed up and moved on. I'm completely satisfied and only blame myself since I always do too much anyways. I'll even quote myself from this very thread, "live by the sword, die by the sword." :joke:

I have family visiting from out of the country, so I won't get to play for another couple of weeks. But I will as soon as I have the chance.
