I've only played it a few times but I am positive that the man has lied to me a few times and when I got it he just went "hmm" and I could do nothing else but flip up the cover and loose. Well, I'm sure the author (I think it's Komag, just a guess) will fix it more once the contest is over.
I also played the game when I was little and it was fun. In fact I just bought a travel version for our vacation next week. It's called Master Mind though. There are four slots and six colors for this one. It's very fun. As of now my lowest score is 5 guesses.

Wow, thanks! Now I'll be a MM pro.

Nightwalker - Thanks, I didn't find that item.
About Mind Master - I'm not saying the one-colour-elimination approach is dumb, it's just easy. You can sort of "cheat" the idea of this game in that way. Your brain does not work, it's not a challenge. I am actually a devoted chessplayer and so far I didn't find a better intellectual game compared to chess. You know, I'm talking about cracking your mind and solving different solutions by running many combinations in your head, visualizing them, without setting things up in a real world.

I played Deceptive Perception today, as the last one of the contest missions and I have to say
   W - O - W - W - !!!
MY GOD, I never jumped that often while playing a Fan Mission before. I usually don't like scary FMs and honestly, I played this one last, because I was almost scared already by the descriptions others gave of this mission. :erm:
In the end I thought it must have been overrated and began to play. No Fan Mission could really be that scary, I thought - the Dark Engine simply wouldn't allow more than a few grunting zombies and whispering haunts. Boy was I wrong.....and I simply loved it!! It felt like watching a good scary movie, only that it's interactive. The ending was soo great! Made you think it's all over, but then....
My whole body was trembling afterwards, but it felt good to have mastered it :D
This mission had exactly the kind of subtle "fear of the dark" feeling that Thief lacks in my opinion.
I hope the last words on the screen are true and we might see a bigger mission like this. Then I'll have to write down my last will before playing it :)
I definitely have an overall winner.
I have a question about this mission: In the basement, there are two spaces blocked by big crates. I wasn't able to get on top of the crates to explore what lies behind them (if anything). I have my problems with mantling in narrow spaces. Is there anything to be discoverd? I have the feeling (means "I hope!") I could have missed something.

Did you take a close look at the Grandfather Clock?
I don't think there is a way into the room blocked by the big crates and I don't think that you are missing anything, but I could be wrong.

I did now...cool ;)
I checked the rooms I mentioned in Dromed. There seems to be nothing there (but in this mission you never know...) Too bad the author didn't use the basement space more efficiently. He could have placed a few more good shock effects down there. Maybe he ran out of time.

2 of the contest mis. (so far I played 10), I couldned finish:
In After the Party I just need 100 more of loot. Do you know of some well hidden loot?
In T2-CF in finshed in normal and hard, but expert is taff. Can someone list possible places?
IMHO, the short timing on expert is a little unfair ..., you cannot sneak slowly enaugh ..., I've the feeling, the beer is going in the same circles and in the same direction like me, just a little bit ahead in time ...

In After the Party, there's a ring on the floor behind a chair that's really hard to see. It's in the sitting area with the fireplace. Look behind the pink chair on the left. That's probably what you're missing.

Nightwalker, how many times has that question been answered in this thread already?
you're too easy on these people, they need to learn to read the answers already posted.
