you're too easy on these people, they need to learn to read the answers already posted. For some players,
searching isn't a strong suit both in the game and otherwise.:joke:

To be fair, though, this thread is ten pages long and discusses sixteen mission -- and not everyone was clear what mission they were writing about in each post. For the next contests (Urgent Missive, etc) it might be better for everyone if we used one thread for each mission (similar to what was done with CL) rather than have a single thread discussing mutliple missions.

That's why I don't mind answering these questions more than once. It can be difficult, in a thread this long, to find one particular answer. Starting a thread for each mission in this contest wasn't the answer though, because there wasn't enough being asked about some missions to warrant it. Maybe in the other contest it will be, if the missions are longer. :)

I am also "guilty" of answering 20 times-previously-answered questions, but I usually also point out another thread where it was posted already for more info, or quote the text for it. :)

Nightwalker's patience and tolerance is a blessing for us all.
I have alway's been thankful that you point out other threads, Hit Deity. It's easy to come up with 0 search results in the forum because it is such a stickler for exact spelling.

I konw this tread very well, but I'm never reading spoilers before I played a missions, so I was in the (wrong) impression, it wasn't asked before.
I really tried to look at every corner in that mission, but got tired looking around. Also I have other things to do (yesterday I worked 5 hours on the panoshot of Eastwater), instead looking stupidly around for 100 of loot. A ring, maybe fallen off a table or lost by someone sitting on the chair - o.k., this exaptable in behalf of context ...
:ebil: I consider to make panoshots for Quake ...

It's always a sign of a good mission when you can be surprised by something even after you've "done everything."
I was running through Fireshadow's Barrow... the operative word being "running." Well to save time on replays I usually just skip reading all the texts... Having finished up playing around with the mage haunt (or whatever he was) I head out the portal and turn around to wait for Ol' Flamey.... when the mission failed.
You
have to read the notes.. at least, the one note in the crystal room (or that's when the objective was triggered the next time I played). I mean, it's obvious since the goal is to find out what happened to these guys, but I forgot about that and the mission ending took me completely by surprise.
Anyway... I wanted to do this. (which also tests whether my new web host allows image linking... guess not, ohwell.)

Is it telling that this thread hasn't been bumped in two days? Less than a week to go... I'm holding my breath. :eww:

Just finished Deceptive Perceptions, i must say that is the first time any game made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! I'm going to have bad dreams.... oh my god!
Thank you to all the authors of these great fm's. I have enjoyed them all, it is really a treat to have so many new ones to play.

The same from me...and I still didn't vote because it's so hard. Whenever I write down the best two in a category and then look at the other missions again, there's at least one which would also deserve a vote. I don't know what to do. I think I'll have to make a final decision tonight and send it out. But never before was it so difficult to select the winners!

Is there a switch somewhere for the Thief 2 CTF secret? I've been bashing my way in.
