4 months until halloween meaning less than that for building and testing, just wondering, since I have not seen any posts. Getting close, anyone interested? Drk?, and some of the other entrants from the last Halloween contest?
Brethren, would you like to host another?

I'm always willing to host missions (or anything for that matter).
Not really interested in running any kind of contest though. Maybe it's best if we let everyone work on all their New Dark projects for a while.

Nah I'm good :p
I'll pass on this one, I have another project to work on...
I don't have the time, and I don't really have any idea for another halloween contest. I always wanted to do a horror mission, a black and white mission and a "reloaded" mission, A Better tomorrow allowed me to experiment these ideas I had for years.

I think it would be kind of hilarious to have a "48 hour contest", where you have 48 hours to completely build a mission off of a template, with no other rules.
We could start on a Friday and end on a Sunday.

Yeah, that's a great idea!
And how about a list with some objects that each contestant must put in their missions?
For example:
For a first contestant:
-A crate
-A zombie
-A Treebeast
and for second contestant:
-A Scarecrow
-A Tiara
-An Archer
Doing such thing in 48h may be a crazy challenge, but imagine how it would be funny!
There are restriction, right, and hard! But don't forget why are there contest: "FUN", because you love dromeding and enjoy to show your efficiency.
Trust me, I couldn't refuse to SUCH contest.
IMO, I think that the contest mind has been lost. We don't do it for fun, but "to run the FM factory" and get new maps for the players...
I dunno if I'm alone to think like this, but that's my feeling... Without restriction: Where is the fun? Where is the challenge?
Dromeder may have fun too! Not only the players! ;)

I second that. As ridiculous as the idea is, I would also jump head-first into such a contest. :thumb:

The 48 hour contest sounds like a fun idea. I'd be on aboard with that if it happens. The only trouble is that it doesn't really leave any time for testing.
FireMage on 2/7/2013 at 20:58
Don't worry about testing. We're expected of it! ;)
Moreover I won't be surprised if we got unfinished missions. lol
The goal is certainly not the greatest map of the world. Just to know who works faster than the others! :D
And above all, to have fun!

I quite like the idea of a 48 hours contest. :p

If by "template" you mean an empty base mission, I might be able to donate one to the cause. I don't see how you could do even a small mission in 48 hours if it also involved much building. I might even participate if it's really only over a weekend.
