Convert Thief 1/Gold mission to T2

Is there a way to just load up one of the unstripped T1 or TG missions in T2 Dromed and make it work properly? Whenever I do so, I get an error saying I'm out of abstract IDs. All of the threads here and other tutorials that discuss converting from T1 to T2 seem to involve loading the T1/G misison up in Dromed 1 and multibrushing it. Problem is, I don't even have T1/G installed right now.

Is there a way to do this without using Dromed 1?

You should be able to do it with no problem using NewDark (currently v.1.21).

If you did a search for "out of abstract IDs" you should have found a few of the following ...

I haven't read them, as I know what to do, but I'm betting that at least one of them will suggest that you edit your dark.cfg and increase your limit.

While you're there you could do a bit more:
; object counts
obj_min -12000
obj_max 5000
max_refs 20000

Oh, maybe it can't find your gamesys. Try reestablishing that. And a purge_missing_objects followed by a complete processing never hurts.
