Cool Star Wars Mod: Galactic Warfare (COD4)

I usually don't like SW stuff that much, retail or mod -- it's alotta bulk lowish substance, but man this mod looks genuinely awesome! There's been plenty of other mp starwars mods, nothing as fine as this though.

I really should give it a try first before being so impressed, but...no COD4 handy. It's the first open beta release too.

Uh wow. That might be the best looking mod I've ever seen.

Blasters seem way too accurate, though. :)

I hate the usual laser blaster with huge spread...wtf? It's a laser!

Now stormtroopers will finally hit stuff accurately.

I must say I once wished Call of Duty may look like this.

Weird grammar aside, looks interesting, but I find it hard to get excited about yet another Star Wars game. Not to say that it's bad, mind you, but stale.

If I were to make an SW mod I'd give the stormtroopers inaccurate rifles and armor while the rebels would have more accurate rifles and one-shot deaths. Especially if they're going for the feel of the original movies, which seems to be the entire reason for making a Star Wars mod rather than say, a random sci-fi blaster mod.

I want more Star Wars games, just because so few of them have actually been any good. There's the X-wing Series, the KoToR series, and a few good parts in the Jedi Knight games buried under a pile of crap. And that's about it. Oh, and Empire Strikes Back on the Atari 2600.

While I'm thinking about it, someone should use Thievery to make a Star Wars game. I think Thief-like gameplay would be a lot closer to the way Jedi are portrayed in the original trilogy than anything in any of the games I've played.

Republic Commando was excellent. Battlefront 1 and 2 were good multiplayer games.

Republic Commando was awesome, I wish they'd do something like that outside of the prequel shittiness.

BF1/2 were also great, although I wish Pandemic would have made a 3 with some of the annoyances fixed, particularly the irritating jump-roll thing that people do incessantly.

Actually, I'm not an RTS fan, but Empire At War seems ok to me, the little bit I've played of it.

Still, Steatlh+Star Wars plz. And I'm not talking that lame ass shit from JK2.
