Thank you Russ, i don't associate deep house with all kind of thief scenarios, but if i am to share any kind of music here it will be something more fitting for this community, like for example this album "consumed" by Plastikman:

Well said. Music is a personal thing but I think it also an important part of enjoying life and should be shared whenever we are inclined to do so.

Even more easy to suggest here is the soundtrack of tomb raider 1,2,3 and 4 which was composed by Eric Brosius , i´m sure everyone here can enjoy it, as well as other videogame soundtracks such as assassin's creed that has nice ambient music for thief.
I love Autechre music for some type of Thief atmospheres, but i would never dare to recommend it here :laff:

The first three Tomb Raider soundtracks were composed by Nathan McCree. To my knowledge Eric Brosius never did anything for that franchise.

I listen to GAS a ton when I use Dromed. I even tried chopping up some of his tracks into loops I can use with custom schemas, though I don't when I'll get around to using them.
Autechre's great too although they'd obviously fare better in an SS2 FM.

my mistake then, Eric Brosius did the soundtrack for both 3 Thief games except the last one.
Schlock it seems we are several authors that like GAS, Soul Tear as well :)

I´m also a fan of Armin van Bureen, i´ve bought all his albums except his last two "embrace" and "old school" which was a deception to me
Paul van Dyk is also really good, though his two last albums are not big deal in my opnion, and i love most of the trance in general, but i find it hard to associate it with Thief, however with Tomb Raider it fits well , those exotic areas in Alexandria, Egypt, the antique Rome and the antique Greece, with the sunny and sunset atmospheres goes well with trance, as trance for me is a romantic expression.
