For historical reference, MX was released exactly 24 hours ago. :D

If anyone is experiencing the problem where the agents vanish on you, and you are never given new objectives, please download this replacement convict.osm and let us know if there is any change ASAP.

If it is working correctly,
Steel should give you regular updates on his progress, and Stone should give you updates on her progress when both you and steel are finished.Sorry but a file compare says it's the same file i already have installed so no luck there.

big problem with that osm file. allthough it might just be me. the mission won't load. I mean I get in the title menu, start a new game, loads about 75% then stops, menu music keeps playing, but thief2.exe is in Not Responding state. waited several times for it to load (gave it even 5 mins one time), but with no luck.
still it might just be my version of thief 2 reacting weird on the osm, since I had big trouble making the game run in the first place.

Damn! Did you ever hear Steel say that he'd found his gear? What about Stone?
/me is trying to work out when the other agents decide to pack up and leave...

It's my own osm file out of my own MX folder. :(

It might help if someone who is having trouble sends us their convict.osm ... that way we can be sure if it's actually got the problem we think it has.

Absolutely brilliant architecture in this game. The characters, the voice acting, the back story, the textures, the building layout, the auto map.. everything is incredible. Each and every room "feels" truly furnished and decorated - the larger areas are grand with the feeling of true size and scope - my only wish is that you could explore the entire level and see it without any alarms and with a sword instead of the dagger.
Any way you can make a "sightseeing" difficulty level with the sword available and no alarms? :laff:
But seriously, I have the feeling there is so much to see that I'll never see due to heavy guard patrols and guests roaming around - and this mission (like DrK's latest rocksburg mission) needs to be explored and appreciated. I'm just not as good at sneaking on marble floors as some :erg:
So far I've only gotten to the 2nd floor after using all my knockouts with the dagger. :laff: Brilliant stuff, and I'll probably be attempting this many times over.. I just seem to keep setting off the alarm and stopping the mission just when I'm getting to see some good stuff.
Edit: Special thanks for all the love that obviously went into this mission. From the bustling activity of the bar including the drunk guard behind the counter and the bartender that walks around wiping the tables (which is a great little touch that I like) to the staff walking around in what seems to be huge AI paths - down to the fact that the inside of the small treasure boxes are textured with initials and the individual books in the bookshelves have their own textures.. I am amazed at the level of detail and production value that is in this mission. Everything just feels so "alive" and "happening all around you" that my only regret is not being able to roam around it freely smiting guards with my sword and blackjacking staff just to soak it all in during a glory run. :laff:

I tried reloading a hardsave from just before turning off the elevator power and then doing just that. This time after a while Stone reported in that she was halfway to the elevator and then that she was at the elevator shaft. I didn't get that before and this is using the same convict.osm as before so i'm sorry but i don't think the convict.osm is the problem here.

I think I found another problem. I hate poiting them out, really, it makes me feel like a butcher or something. :(
There's a problem with the scouting orb that appears while in the vents. It's rather weird and pretty hard to explain, but it's as though it gets stuck on me and my fov becomes weird and show from a different angle. I pick the orb again, but the fov is still twitched up. I throw the orb again, pick it up again, repeat the process until finally I manage to throw the orb away and free myself of it. the orb hovers in mid air. the problem occured while searching through my inventory for my key chain. anyway, after moving some more through the vents, I tried shooting a moss arrow in one of the rooms, but the bow doesn't work (and I had just used it before the orb incident).
