If you got in through the vents, that's the only way back out. Why can't you go back that way?...Cause I keep falling. It was easy getting up, just not the going down part.
I got it though. I lost some health on the way down. Which is what I was trying to avoid, but oh well.

What's wrong with going back into the vent? :weird:

Are we talking about trouble mounting and dismounting ladders and platforms?

Are you absolutely sure you didn't get two masks in your inventory after speaking to Sheam?
Yeah I got them both. Didn't realize I was supposed to use the masks to pick my task. I was thinking I had to use them to tell the others I was finished. Stupid me, I should really get some sleep.
Anyway, I chose the cameras and ended up doing that and killing the power to the elevator since someone else didn't do that.
I've just been scouring the map again and got into the Monarch suite. Didn't have any trouble leaving via the vent like Syltae did.
I've also been looking for documents to copy, only have 3 copied and 2 copy kits left and nothing left to copy.
So I'm back to square one, unless the new gen.osm can fix something, since I don't recall getting tauted by anyone. I shall find out.

Are we talking about trouble mounting and dismounting ladders and platforms?Yes. I can never tell if he actually attaches himself to ladders or platforms. I never had this problem before until now.

I think I know what you're talking about.;)
Is a quicksave out of the question? Also, how do you feel about changing the setting for ladder attachment in the Options? I have to navigate the tall vents carefully, making sure I know whether I've jumped onto a platform or if I've landed on the bottom rung of the ladder.

Just out of curiosity since I havent been able to get that far without setting off alarms or being killed by guards (again, I am awful at sneaking on marble in general) do you ever find a key to turn the lights off?
Syltae on 16/8/2008 at 21:51
Hmm.... Ladder Attachment has always been on jump, but I suppose I could switch it. It'll take some getting use to, but I think I can manage. I'm sure I won't lose any health that way too.
Thank you for the help.

Elusive, does it happen the same way every time you restart the mission? I read over your last few posts and didn't see you mention if you've tried a clean restart or not.
No, the working savegame in the previously mentioned archive was based on a hardsave i did before doing the first task, so it is not consistent. I have not tried starting from scratch though since that hardsave seems to work so i'd rather continue on from that if possible.
