The "hype" word was my mistake and I didn't mean it that way.
Don't apologise. I was only wondering, is it as good as we think it is?

Has anyone transcripts of the conversations?
Someone might. The trouble is, these things have a nasty habit of being redone just before release, so I'm not sure where the current version is. I'll have to check.
Would you believe there was some worries that everyone would hate working in a team? I guess this proves that they're unfounded. :)
/me is very excited

BTW, just for reference, I was mainly responsible for scripting the mission. So, if I do not answer questions about the locations of documents and other such things, it's because I myself can't remember. Because I wasn't working on that part of the mission, the documents may have moved since I last played it.
However, if the mechanic's document is where it was when I last found it, it's in his nook, which is down low in the ventilations shafts.

Thanks. I meant not necessarily the comm lines, but ordinary convos. Not that I don't understand them, the voices are of perfect quality, but I still would like to figure out those 10% of phrases that I can't make out.

People generally tend to be afraid of major changes, often for nothing. There is only so many of innovative FMs out there.

We simply couldn't get GL to load the mission. However, a new version of GL is in the works, and hopefully its designer will look into the problem with MX and correct it in his software. In the mean time, I think you'll find DarkLoader to be very useable.
I'll have a look at it tonight and see if I can resolve it, I haven't downloaded it yet but will give it a go.
EDIT: Had a quick look at it at work and the new version of GL has detected it just fine, I haven't installed it though as I don't have thief on my work PC, but I'll do that tonight.

Any hints on how I can get into the money exchange office? Im playing on expert...I cant open the door, even though I got the combo. If you get into the Security Chief's Office - the office just down the corridor from the toilets, you get the security chief's key, which will open the exchange office door. The combo for the safe is also in his office, check the shelves carefully.

This mission is an amazing piece of work! Just look at the architecture, graphics and all these new objects like furniture! This really looks more like 30´s in our own world.
Gongratulations to the CoSaS team! I don´t think anyone could imagine anything like this when the original game was released!

Yametha's right - she was out of the loop for things like important document placement. The mech-related document is right outside the camera room, in the security-center of the basement
A bit of trivia ... at one point the mech diagram was in the mechanic's hideaway deep below the basement, but it was decided that the eavesdropping notes there went better as a stand-alone find, and that the area of the basement that is toughest to get through needed a bigger reward inside than just gold. Besides, it makes sense for it to be there since the IR's own cameras were recently upgrade (see the note above the camera room) and Pomok often expresses interest in joining the Mechanists.

In other news: I found that I really enjoy the new health shields and the light gem, and the compass... Anyway, my question is, what files to I need to backup from this mission so that I can use them when this fan mission isn't installed? I pretty much know the files for the shield, but the compass (well, slight idea by looking at the bin files with XVI32) and the light gem I have no idea.:o And I must say the light gem looks really cool, seems more polished than the original, but I don't know if that word does it justice.:cheeky:
I am really glad you liked them. I approached the lightgem and compass not as, I want to make a new cosas-gem-cosas-healthicons, but I wanted to upgrade the existing ones to high-res so that they would look excellent for people running high and custom resolutions. I'm going to create a patch (sometime after the MX patch is done) so that people can do exactly as you've suggested. I'll probably also ask NV to include them in the Enhancement Pack.
The compass on the other hand is meant to be specifically a cosas compass. :)

Ah I see, thanks for the feedback!:)
ALso, I finally got past the blasted basement part... Talk about tough!:grr:
And damn steel, mocking me... lol I really love the idea of two alternate paths though, it allows for replayability.
Also, those lockable light switches are quite impressive. Never seen that before! :o
