Thanks! :D

I finished, thanks to a minor hint here (to follow the guy who picks up the scroll case); clean ghost on Impossible (which is actually required for it to be a ghost, now that I think about it :eww: ).
One odd glitch: In the game, I did find the mistress's room and throw the dust bomb at it; in fact, Dante even reports that at the end of the mission. But when the final stats showed, that objective was ex'd out instead of checked. What's up with that?
Very good mission. Nice mix of storyline and playability... but I got pretty annoyed every time Sheam called in to tell me that another hour had passed. Yes, I have a watch, thankyouverymuch. Stop bothering me!
Yikes, I totally forgot to get inside the Monarch room! Can I do that with the Captain of the Guards Key? If not, I probably couldn't have done it anyway. Maybe I'll replay from my last save and give it a go.

The end of the mission tells you whether he was rightQuote:

Yep, the Monarch Suite is accessible, but no the key you mention does not open the door
Digital Nightfall on 22/8/2008 at 12:15
There is a Monarch Suite key, but it's not needed to get in. You can...
Get in through the crawlspace system accessible via the Pearl Hall Bar or the Guard Captain's office.
Trick one of the guards to come out and keep the door from closing once he does.
Bash the door down into the suite from the Theater.
Of course on Ghost, the above two are not likely. The first one is the only real solution. Alternatively, the key is...
On the belt of Raputo's bodyguard in white in the garden.

omg - it's here! :D
Thanks to the team, for the mission, the manual, the video, the music, the wallpapers, and all the time and efforts you put on this one. <3
(and now it's time to play :P)

I am looking for some volunteers to beta test the work-in-progress patch. So much is being changed that, if we're still going to release this weekend, we can't wait until it's "done" to begin testing it. I will send you details if you volunteer, but first...
I can't take everyone, but I'm looking for a little over 10 people.
Volunteer if...
* You have been stuck in the Black Box(tm). (You MUST volunteer if you've been stuck in the black box!)
* You have experienced any highly reproducible bugs.
* You found the mission too difficult on Expert (or in general, natch.)
* You will have alot of free time this weekend (and today).
* You don't mind playing over and over.
* You can get a thought across clearly in english. On the other hand..
* If none of the above is true with the exception of the Black Box(tm), please volunteer anyway!
Please don't post in this thread to volunteer. Send me a PM. Click on my user-name and then follow the links that say "Send Private Message." This is because I intend to communicate with any testers using the TTLG PM system.

You failed ;) As Nightfall put it:
Quote:
That objective was a bit of a pet project of mine; how to make the player follow clues and come to a conclusion, and to express that conclusion with a deliberate action, without letting trial and error ever be a means to success.

Or put in more direct terms - If you're told immediately that you're wrong, you can just try again. If you have to wait until the end of the mission, then you won't take the guess so lightly.

Just finished this MASTERPIECE (!) on Expert. I want to ask that am I left out from many good things? I mean, are there additional terrains, rooms on higher difficulty levels?
sterlino on 23/8/2008 at 00:05
finished.
damn.. 'impossible' is quiet truly impossible...:p
i successfull finished 'thae mission' but didn't completed all the objectives...
I didn't make any copy of important documents
and i did a REALLY F*** mess on the upper floors... :cheeky:
better for me is IMPOSSIBLE... and i am asking ...is it possible to ghost this mission at the impossible difficulty ? :laff:
it's a great experience, a great mission... But with some little points of frustrations moments..
this the best tech applied with the dromed.
Architeture, sounds, graphics, art, AI.. (ok some AI are stupich but this is the original thief's set ghehe) all is great.
Some decisions could be matter of discussion but in fact if you play without asking yourself: why or what, you will enjoy it.
I must say that is a little biit difficult, but the real life is worst that these difficulties..
Better than this ? what ? i am yet shocked and guessing what it will be the future for thief now.
For only one thing i am really sure tonite: i am not a good player anymore. ghehe..
