Thanks and thanks! I'm going to do just that since I've realized that ever since I DL'd and started playing the original MX none of my other FMs are working properly. Keep getting a weirdly colored initial screen of the first scene of another FM and the message that it can't find that resolution setting. Weird.

Are you using garrettloader or darkloader to restore thief 2 to it's original state before playing other FMs? If not, that's probably why you are having problems with these FMs. I should also point out that it seems that not all traces of Mission X are deleted with darkloader when you "restore thief 2 to it's original form."

Yeah, I've still got the difficulty text from the three difficulty levels of Mission X showing before every fan mission and jumbled text on the title screen. Its annoying, but I'm too lazy to re-install thief.

After you uninstall the FM, delete the intrface folder. (in your T2 folder)

Thanks for the simple fix - worked like a charm. :thumb:

Thanks for the advice guys. Turns out it was MX that was making my other FMs go all wonky. Guess I'll just have to play MX all the way through before I move on to another FM.
Thanks again!
(We really need a mushy, girlie-hearts-love-type of smilie, ya know?? For special occasions like this.)

this is perhaps the greatest piece of work of 2008
may I know how long exactly did it take you to create this superb luxury hotel building and all the objects and talk?
I worship the circle of stone and shadow truly...
Keep up this magnificent work in the future!

Well, you could just set up a seperate thief installation just for Mission X. Unless hard drive space is important to you.
orfeus: I think it took 8 years? but don't quote me on that.

Yes, around that long, but keep in mind that the authors spent most of that time only working on the mission during breaks from university and grad school.
