I did what I should do with the door, objective ticked,at the end I told the agent about it ,she said '' bravo good boy" or something, but at the screen at the end this objective was crossed as if I failed it.
There was a hint in the vents I found it afterwards...could this be the reason for the failed objective?
You marked the wrong door, but since you thought it was correct, you told the others you'd done it. They had no way of knowing whether you were right or wrong, so they just assumed you were right.

Can I go into the safe, or are there big secret areas?
The safe is off limits to everyone but Stone. Afterwards Raputo will know exactly what has happened, so the only way to ensure Mr. Cloud doesn't believe him is to ensure there is no sign of skulduggery.

I recently completed Mission X for the first time and I want to say thanks to Team CoSaS. It sure is one of the very best fan missions released for Thief 2.

I also would like to complete Mission X. Great job, team Cosas. The idea of teamwork and communication mask is so sweet. :thumb:
I have Cloud's key and went to the top floor to return the key. Where is the room I should head for? There are plenty of guards and it's difficult to navigate. Alternatively I got a tip to look for the assisstant's office where I get the key to switch off most of the lights. I found Cloud's office, but it seems it's not the right room. Where should I go?

It's the room next to Cloud's office. Search for a bedroom.

Ah, great. Thanks. Now I seem to have completed all the objectives and it says "Return to Ivory Rose courtyard". Is this the starting area / area outisde? I go there and the objective doesn't tick off. Is it a bug or I missed something?
EDIT: Ah, I had to use the mask to finish the mission. :)
Great mission! I can't believe the team came up with so many custom objects.

You should get another option with the mask in your inventory after leaving the Ivory Rose...if you have completed all necessary objectives though.

I finally have gotten this mission to run, and I've never been more frustrated by a mission. I really dislike running the chores for rubber, waited far too long for steel to let me out of the camera room and all the light. I swear my experiences are lying to me about the light gem. I've encountered a lot of shadows that should hide me, and don't, likely objects without runtime object shadows, not sure. I did discover that you can skip talking to sheam and kabong nearly everyone early on, really made things easier. Really want more branching tasks and multiple-choice options. Steel's gear for me, can't find, a key to the electric lights, nope. Well, back to it, still have a drunk to 86, and a suite to check out.
To be clear, frustrating for me is a good thing, means the challenge is there.
I also just wanted to add, that the mask communication system works so well that I hardly notice it, its just that well designed.

Cloud's Key?
I got the impression from somewhere that Cloud's key was in the theatre. This is tough even on the lowest level. Many areas with bright lights and guards everywhere. A few more shadows would have made this better. It has taken me forever to get into the theatre and in the end I had to go via the 4th floor! Now I'm here I can't find it and don't seem to have any clue or note so maybe I got it wrong? And I've long forgotten where to take it when I find it! Probably his office. I've been in there. Somehow I got the idea that comms instructions and clues would go in the notes on the easiest level but this did happen at first but not now so I have no way to proceed. I think there was a comms question about this but it seems to have disappeared. Maybe that's the problem; perhaps it timed out so I have no permanent clue? It would be good about now if I could use the comms to ask but the only comms question is about something else.

@Fidcal...
The key ends up in one of two places depending on where you were when the agent (Stone IIRC) is done with it. In the theater it is above the stage on the beam. The other place would be on the 3rd floor sticking out the elevator.
OK, thanks.
