Well, I went back to try to play COSAS Mission X after a year away from Thief. The communications mask doesn't work at all when I "activate" it (using Mouse2 button). It says "use the mask to contact Sheam immediately," but I can't get anything to happen.
I reinstalled Thief from scratch and updated with the newest TafferPatcher. I also re-downloaded COSAS v1.13 - still not working.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Possibly a script not firing correctly?
Thanks!

Double check for the need of custom scripts to make that mask work like it should. Make sure you have all of the custom scripts available in your T2 directory.

It looks like the mask is run by a series of custom scripts (ConvMask, ConvMask2, et al.) located in cosas2.osm. Is that file present (in the CoSaS FM folder if you're using FMSel, or in the Thief main folder if you're using DarkLoader)? If it is there and you have any DromEd experience, try opening the mission in DromEd and checking the monolog for the message WARNING: failed to load script module "cosas2".
(Incidentally, the object that makes everyone hostile to the player once the gear is picked up is called EverybodyHatesDante. Nice.)

OK, I did load the mission into DromEd and the Cosas2 script did appear to load properly. And the Cosas2.osm is in the main Thief folder. The mask still isn't working though.

I did a quick test first with FMSel, then with Darkloader. In both cases the mask worked fine, so I can't imagine what's causing your problem.
