Hey I was just browsing the web and forums looking for some new thief content and lo and behold, the dark mod 2.0 is released. wow this looks exciting and awesome. I saw the mission page at thedarkmod.com and holy there is a ton of missions, fantastic. Just what I wanted as Ive almost finished the t2x campaign for the first time (They did an awesome job with t2x) I like how they include a mission editor in the dark mod and supposedly made it easy for people to use which is sweet because editors usually cause headaches. Bless the fans and creative minds out there continuing the thief legacy, the best game legacy of all time.
Also saw a project called CoSaS mentioned on one of the fan sites. Apparently theres a couple missions out for that and the guy Daniel Todd wrote some short books that go along with the plot for that project. Im just curious if anyone knows what the status is on CoSaS. It says in development for missions 3+ but there hasnt been much news updates for the past couple years. Apparently CoSaS development started around 2000 which is like 14 years ago haha. Who knew it took so much work to make these fan made campaigns sheesh. I wouldnt want to be a programmer but I appreciate the energy it takes to produce great entertaining games. Looks cool and would like to know more about it.
Also, being a big thief fan, Ive played through the original tgold, t2 like 5 times, t3 twice, and t2x nearly once. Would anyone recommend some other great campaigns/ long missions besides the dark mod and t2x? Ive downloaded a ton of fan missions off of Keep of metal and gold but havent exactly got around to playing them. I guess ill start with the biggest fan mission files since theyre probably the longest missions.
Also looking forward to thief 4 coming out in a few months!

Daniel Todd is Digital Nightfall, aka Digi. Since he's working for Arkane now he can't work on mods, so not sure about Cosas. But anything is possible.

Uh..no, I haven't been given anything from Cosas, wasn't that the Immortal Thief you were thinking of? I had been working on a 2 part FM idea a while back, but it's on hold for now since I've been playing a lot of AVP 2010/Colonial Marines lately.

It's ok, good thing it wasn't me-or the end result might look more like Hadley's Hope rather than steampunk!

Wow thanks. I had no Idea there were so many campaigns. I'm going to download and start playing them, hoPefully it's easy enough to set up. Just use dark loader for tg t2, and modern loader for t3 missions correct?

The Black Frog is a recent campaign (5 missions) and beyond this world good. Give it a shot. :D
