The current Steam weekend deal is that Rockstar's back-catalogue is on sale at 30% off. The only problem is that said publisher's catalogue isn't available in my country/region.
I was wondering if someone would please gift me the (
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/603/) Max Payne 1 & 2 bundle for $10.49 USD? Of course I'd pay the full expenses via Paypal.
If anyone is willing to help me then please send a PM I'll provide my SteamID and my Paypal account name for billing.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Please excuse the subject line, I originally typed "the USA/Canada", but changed it to North America at the last minute. I didn't notice the remaining "the" in the title until now.

Seems like it's available in the UK as well, for GBP 6.29. Could gift it to you if you wanted me to, just PM me your details.
On another note, maybe we could turn this thread into one more generally about gifting games on Steam?
I, for one, would be interested in getting a copy of Mass Effect, and that definitely isn't availble on Steam here. I'm pretty sure there's more people here with similar request.

Cheers N'Al! Please see my PM for the offer of gifting Mass Effect.

Hey, I was wondering if someone could please gift me the King's Quest and Space Quest collections off Steam before the 3rd? They're on sale for $5 USD each, but neither are sold in the Australasian region. Of course I'd pay the full expenses via Paypal.
If anyone is willing to help me then please send a PM I'll provide my SteamID and my Paypal account name for billing.
Many thanks in advance.

The Max Payne bundle is only $3.47. I'm tempted but I have them already.
What I'm looking for is the european dvd version of Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, but that's hopeless :o

What's the difference between the European version and the version currently available on steam?
Jashin on 30/12/2009 at 23:06
Nothing. I'd like a physical copy and EU version is 1 DVD vs NA's which is a few CDs.

Just a question. As all DVDs are coded to country of use, will a DVD from Region 1, for example run in Region 5. I refer, of course, to game DVDs only.
I know a DVD player can be set to a specific region. But, as I recall, only 5 times then you are locked in.
Do game DVDs, such as those being discussed, have the same algorithms to lock them out.
If you buy a USA region DVD and send it to the UK, Japan, or Australia, WILL IT WORK?
I know about, and have, copy/region unlockers that will circumvent this, but in order to use the DVD, you need to make a new copy.
Just a question that may not have occured to those saying "Buy me". I know that VHS tapes in NTSC will not run on PAL formatted players. So I thought I'd throw this out for consideration.
If you live in REGION 1, a DVD from REGION 3 may not work for you.

It may vary depending on publisher, etc., but I know that I bought the UK's Sold Out version of T:DS a while back and it installed and ran without giving me any complaints about regions.
EDIT: I guess it would help to mention that I'm in North America.
