Playing the first Thief once again, something caught my attention in the Cragscleft mission intro:
Quote:
It would be difficult to get in by way of the main gate...
Wait, main gate? Where is that? I do not remember anything in the actual mission that looks like the main gate. How do the Hammerites normally get in and out of the prison? The only way outside other than through the mines is one door from the officers' quarters, and I doubt they have regular traffic through there.

Yeah, I always thought that was a major "plot hole", if you will- because the main entrance just. isn't. there.
Sounds like material for an 'updated' Cragscleft, if someone's got the will and time to do it.

Oh yes, that dead end would be a fitting spot. Always seemed weird.

Thanks, ZB.
That would be pretty creepy to be brought in through that area as a prisoner before getting dragged down to cellblocks.

Barracks and a kitchen are creepy?
Either way, yeah, it's not the most logical architecture in the game. It would be interesting to see a rebuild of Cragscleft that gives the actual prison a less maze-like layout, with a proper front desk, more direct passage from the main gate to prisoner holding, admin offices, etc.

The Hammerites' churchiness is creepy. What a way to rub the holier-than-thou piety in yer face on the way to a floggin' or tongue-removin'.

You are totally right. The main gate is a big question mark. I always used the door from office quarters to finish the mission.
