If you´re too much freaked out by them buy the Thief Gold version on Ebay. It changes crabmen to mages in the Lost City area.
And they are really avoidable in other maps:
- Cathedral - Don´t enter that cave, there are many other passages.
- Opera House - Sneak just a little bit until you enter in a pool of water, from there you can swim your way to the stairs.
- Maw - You can´t be scared when you´re filled with gas arrows.

They always freak me out. Especially when it's dark... and I'm all alone... and I don't have any arrows... and they're getting closer... and they're mad at me... :eek:
