Tired of Ghost/Iron/Robin Hood mode ?
Time to create your own illogical fun type of play !
Just use your imagination...
Here are some I thought (althought I´m pretty sure somebody had some of these ideas before)
1) Sandman Mode.
Your main purpose is to put everyone to a nice sleep. Blackjack every human in your map and find a nice place for them. Every bed must be occupied, only one human for bed. If all beds are occupied find a nice and confortable place for the extra sleepers. Like a warm tapestry near the kichten´s fire. Don´t wake up those that are already sleeping.
2) Casanova Mode.
Your main purpose is to blackjack the first woman/man (depends on your preference) you see and complete the level with him/her on your shoulders. You´re only allowed to put her on the ground for the most vital actions. You should end the level with him/her.
3) ACME Beta Tester.
You must spend every single piece of equipment you have. You can´t waste them in an empty room, you must spend them in useful ways. You must finish your level without any expandable item.
4) Forced Running.
Garret drinked a cursed whisky. Now from start to finish you must complete the level without releasing the "run" button.
5) Deaf Thief.
Garret is now deaf. Turn off your sound.
6) Zelda Mode.
You start as young Zelda. You can only use Blackjack, lockpicks, and rope arrows. If you drink a health potion you become adult Zelda, where everything is fair game, but you can´t use your blackjack anymore.
7) Undead tour guide.
You must guide every undead possible to the end of the level. Once you found the first ones you must guide them until the last possible part, making them following you while you try to insanely check your objectives.

That would be the clue #2673, am I right? :sly:

Parkour style. ((
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy-Nm5fpSww) clip for the uninitiated.) Run it fast and as efficiently as possible, like a traceur ... like a speed run, but points for style. You can't just blatantly run past the face of a guard, bad style. You have to evade guards running after you. You can't just hide in the shadows waiting for the right moment, either; always stay in motion.
I wouldn't consider this a bizarro mode, though ... this is the way I like to play now.

...or Parkour "James Bond Style": Get yourself a couple of guards chasing you and enjoy the sound of arrows flying by your head as you're running. It's not that most of you are used to that scenario anyway.

Tampering with the Evidence Mode: Grab every item available and bury it all under a stack of crates. If no crates are available, put it all in a room with a door or into a sewer.
The Flash Mode: Gather every enemy you can into a single room, then flashbomb them. See how many you can KO before they recover!
Fattie Mode: Garret has been neglecting his body. He is so fat, he can't run. Only use the walk function, even (or especially) when being chased down by an irate hammer haunt.
Death by Blunt Object Mode: Kill every enemy possible. With the blackjack. (I believe it does 1 dmg). No exceptions.

I was going to create a more realistic dark.gam file. After that I was going to create a "clumsy thug" version -inspired by watching some people try to play the game for the first time. You would be much worse at stealth, leading to a lot of barging in, grabbing, hitting multiple times with the blackjack and then running in a panic.
I don't know why people haven't tried using dark.gam to change the gameplay of the original campaign more.

A variation on FlashMode is GasArrow Mode, gather as large a crowd of enemies as possible into a tight crowd and then see how many of them you can knock out with one gas arrow.
A good place to do this that I recall is a mission where you walk down a cavern slope with minotaurs patrolling (title?). You can attract the attention of every one, then have them follow you to the bottom where there's a hole you can nudge into, and they'll all clamor right at the entrance trying to get in. One gas arrow and you knock out every single one (like 23 of them) with one hit ... the sound of over 20 bodies hitting the ground at one time is very satisfying.
I'll be interested if anyone can beat that number.

A blind mode where garret's eyes are heavily damaged by to much flashbombs usage (turn gamma up)

The Real One-Eyed Garrett - Activate some z-buffer failure and play with a damaged three-dimensional view. Or, the easier way, wear an eye patch for those three special missions.
