Concerning the invisible AI...when I played Gaëtane's "The Den" I had huge invisible stone monsters patrolling the mansion and afterwards I was told that they should have been in fact visible and something was wrong with my script files. Nevertheless, it's a really cool experience.

Quick, possibly moronic, question... How exactly do you intend to mod the dark.gam file? Complete disassembly/reassembly, or thru DromEd? Either way, REVEAL YOUR SECRETS UNTO ME!! I MUST LEARN!!!!!

From what I know it's possible to alter the dark.gam from within Dromed and then when you play any OM in the normal fashion, the changes are seen in-game?

Agreed, I once made a guard invisible in a test-mission, but I kept the sounds he made. I had to listen very carefully in order to know where he was. It was kind of intense even with only one guard.
Turning off a guard's sounds as well could prove to be a little too extreme, but who knows, it could be worth a try (just for the hell of it).

Also, with no input, you could fall and die and not know it and keep playing for like 8 hours and wonder what the hell is going wrong!

Ghosting from another point of view: Alter dark.gam and make every AI fully transparent ( = invisible). Then make them silent too.
& then what? run around like a chicken without a head & when you hear something smashing into garrett you run for it, whats the fun in that?
if you make them invisible or only unhearable that would be something else & more enjoyable

Surprisingly, none of you have yet mentioned the FM that uses the invisible AI technique most effectively - Equilibrium. If you liked that little taste you got from these other things, you really should play it. This is an FM that knows how to do a new play style.

Yes, Equilibrium was a great mission, but the AIs in Equilibrium were not invisible. You could actually see them as a "distortion" in the air. I'm talking about completely invisible AIs, but that can be heard.

How about Gemini mode?
It takes two people, one sits at the keyboard blindfolded and the second person has to describe what to do.

I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to play without being able to see nor hear the AIs. The mission would have to be carefully designed, but I think it could turn out to be not as impossible as one might think.
Every lit area would be a challenge: Should I find another way in darkness or cross the lit area and risk being seen by someone who might be there? You would know that the AIs are there somewhere, but you just don't know where and they could strike at almost any moment. That could give a really creepy feeling.
The shadows would be Garrett's only trully safe hiding place. All shadows should therefore be constructed so that they always hide Garrett completely and undoubtedly.
On Expert, the AIs would always be invisible and silent. On Normal or Harder they could always be invisible and silent, unless they reach high alert or when they see Garrett. That would give Garrett a choice: Alert an AI, but also see it, or not see it, but not alert it either.

Or one who can see the screen, but cannot hear any sounds, and another who can hear all sounds, but cannot see the screen?

All cariables have to be thrown out of level somewhere to improve frame rate.
