I wanted to put a glass in one AI's left hand with a Creature Attachment link. Tthe problem is that the glass is continuously rotating in his hand. To make it short, I changed the glass with a bottle2, I changed the AI and the bottle 3 times, I tried adding/deleting Location, Rotation, no success.
It never happened to me, I have just the same setting in another mission I'm working on and it's working fine as it should.
Any idea of what's going on?

Generally, things attached to the finger joint stay unrotated when the AI moves, while ones attached to any other joint rotate with the AI's limb angle.

Maybe I didn't explained it properly. The bottle rotate even if the AI is not moving!
Anyway, I tested it in a little test mission, and it works properly. I also tested it in my 3rd mission, and it works as well. In my 2nd mission it still doesn't.
More than rotating the bottle is swinging, and every few seconds it also rotates. I even changed the location and, again, the AI, but the situation remains the same.
Update
I gave the AI a scroll and it does the same movement. The sad thing is that I have another creature attachment from a woman to a scroll where a conversation is involved. Now also that scoll is swinging! It didn't when I set up the conversation, months ago....:(
BTW, all the attachemnt are to the left finger

Use Render > Mesh Attach. So you can set coordinates and angles you want and there will be no rotation. Although there may appear other problems...

OK, I loaded a version of the FM I did 2 days ago, and all is working fine there.
Fortunately I was messing with skins the last 2 days, so I added only a few rats to the mission. What a relief!
I'm still wondering what I did wrong though.
Soul Tear, yes, I can use a Mesh Attach, but still there's no reason for the creature attachment to not working. :erg:

I found the culprit, but still there is no explanation...
I had two spiders patrolling in a nearest house, they are causing the problem. If I make them stop patrolling the problem disappears.
I put a man to patrol there, and two rats, no problems at all.
How is it possible that two patrolling spiders can make the attached objects to AIs to swing?

You might have created the bottle on the spiders' patrol route before you added the link. I think the physical part remains, so the spiders could be bumping into it. Try creating a new bottle, well out of the way, and then make a new CA link.

No, the spiders were patrolling in another house close to the first one.
Anyway, I also put a guard with a bottle in a totally different area, and the woman with the scroll was in a third house, nothing to do with the previous two.
For an unknown reason the spiders movement/patrolling affected the proper rendering of the attached objects throughout the mission.
Tomorrow I will try it in different testing missions. I am just curious to see if I obtain the same effect.

Well, I did it. I created a new little mission, no custom gamesys. Just 2 rooms, one spider patrolling in the first one and a guard with a bottle in the second. Note that the rooms are not connected each other in any way.
The result is just the same, the bottle is swinging. As soon as I uncheck "does patrol" in the spider ability settings, the bottle returns normal.
It's just me, my system? Is it a curse? I don't know.
I renounced of having a patrolling spider. If anyone is willing to test this thing though....

That sounded so strange that I had to go and try it for myself!
I can reproduce it consistently too. I even went back and tried it in 1.18, same thing happens there.
The bottle also rotates every time the spider turns around, even when it's not patrolling.
I've attached a little demo mission that demonstrates it, for anyone who wants to see it for themselves.
Maybe you could try using DetailAttachment instead of CreatureAttachment?
