(edit: Sorted. Update below. DRM still sucks, mind.)(

Our service provider Reflexive is ending its affiliate program and we're not able to provide you the games we offered before at this site. So please be sure to install and activate your purchases prior to July 31st, 2010.
In a truly monumental dick move, if you bought the game from Reflexive, there is now (
http://www.10tons.com/crimsonforum/viewtopic.php?id=1016) no way to (re)activate your game. Rather than providing customers with a patch to remove the DRM from the old version, or even a key for the Glorious New DRM, you're evidentially shit out of luck unless you buy it again. Nice one, 10 tons. One day you might like to look up "Customer service."
Crimsonland is a really great game, and I had always looked forward to CL2 (assuming it does actually eventuate one day), but really, fuck that.

Isn't this made by an indie studio too?
Shadowcat on 9/12/2010 at 11:47
Yup.
gunsmoke on 9/12/2010 at 12:10
Shame. So can the game be purchased safely somewhere now?
Koki on 9/12/2010 at 13:34
People said it will never happen, and then it did

Annnnnd... there's an (
http://www.crimsonland.com/?menu=support) update:
Quote:
Sadly, it seems that the Reflexive servers went down in November, 2010. If you have purchased the game from Reflexive in the past, but are not able to install it, please send your receipt of purchase to support [at] 10tons.com and we'll figure out how to get you a working version of Crimsonland. If you don't get a reply within two weeks, please resend your email.
Maybe 10 tons took my advice :)
I strike the "monumental dick move" comment, and replace it with a "kinda slow off the mark" comment instead; but better late than never.

Nah, I enjoy seeing things like this happen. If it happens enough, the average Joe may eventually get a clue and figure out that you should never trust someone else with keys to what you buy.
How about you sell me an ****ing complete, functional product that will continue to run years down the line, long after you've gone out of business or have been bought out by one of the giants in the industry? I should not have to send my receipt to anyone. Maybe I purchased the game used. Ever think of that?

How you shut the fuck up already. Ever think of that?

No, he is right. You are retarded if you purchase games with online DRM.
It's hilarious to see people being screwed by DRM, because it is them who support it in the first place. :D

Who the fuck are you? You can't just come in here spouting dumb bullshit off the bat, you have to earn that right.
