I should not have to send my receipt to anyone. Maybe I purchased the game used. Ever think of that?
How do you buy a 2nd hand copy of game that's only ever been sold digitally over the net? I seriously doubt that this game ever had a mechanism for transferring licences, nor condoned it in an EULA.
Do you ever stop to think before you spew your garbage?

You got me there. I would never buy a game that is sold only over the net unless it was at such a low price as to be trivial. If the game is $10+ and turns out to suck, I would be unable to exercise my first-sale rights (bwahahaha) to get some of my money back.

It's hilarious to see people being screwed by DRM, because it is them who support it in the first place. :D
It's hilarious to see people die in car accidents, because it is them who support cars in the first place :D

No, he is right. You are retarded if you purchase games with online DRM.
Why?

"It's hilarious to see people die in car accidents, because it is them who support cars in the first place "
If we had cars that miraculously never got in accidents and people were still stupid enough to buy the ones that randomly accelerate and vier in one direction then yes, it is their fault... just like we have games that don't require the user to contact a third-party to function.
Bottom line, if you buy a defective product that requires remote attestation to function, don't complain when it stops working. Those of us who value our rights to control our property will just point and laugh.

Why don't you go play your open-source Linux games and stop constantly harrying us with your irritating crap? We're perfectly capable of deciding whether or not to buy something without your obnoxious bullshit.
Go proselytise your local self-entitlement support group instead; just stop wasting your time and ours.

How did these large companies manage to brainwash people into thinking that expecting a usable product is "self-entitlement"? I went to the grocery store and purchased some bred. When I got home, I realized it had already expired. Guess I'm full of self-entitlement if I exchange it for a functional (safe to eat) loaf or I refuse to shop there again because they sold me a defective loaf of bred.
What if a (hypothetical) grocery store sells expired food (or encrypted blobs) to wade out the thieves? They just stock the shelves with old food, and if a legit customer buys it they will ALWAYS return with their receipt as proof, so as to obtain a fresh loaf. The thief is stuck with the spoiled (useless) goods. Nevermind that honest and angry customer, he just suffers from "self-entitlement". He just wants to plunk down cash for a product that works from the get-go without having to go through any pointless crap.

But the morale of this threads story is that you are better off trusting big companies like valve with steam, instead of trusting small indie-companies.

Some cars are more unsafe then others. Some are meant to go 30mph on a small road, some go 120mph on a racetrack with 10 other ones at equally high and dangerous speeds. The former is pretty safe, the second is a death wish. And yet people chose to drive the latter. And so I laugh SO HARD when they die because its THEIR CHOICE. Haha, stupid people!
