Yup. And if you want to know something really scary, it takes a bank of networked super high end 8 core computers up to a day to produce a single frame of movie quality CG.

It strikes my eye funny that, because of the super-wide perspective, the butt of the gun fills the entire lower portion of the right-most screen. I'm not too pleased that the technical commentary was replaced with terrifying technotronica muzak of DOOM, even if it would have been in German anyway.
Also the fellow playing the demonstration looks extremely uncomfortably bored. Poor guy needs a hug and a comforting whisper of 'son, it'll be over soon' in his ear.
I'm more impressed by Eyefinity at this point, TBH. If that was running off a single GPU, it's amazing. Makes you wonder how much performance you'd get if the thing was powering a single screen.

This engine looks great.
And I'm still amazed that the PS3 and X360 can run this stuff.
My only reservation, and its a big one, is that no one is going to come up with good ideas for games anymore if they can just make pretty destructem ups.
Also - awaiting the 1st true destructoporn game.

People getting impressed by tech demos are n00bs. True Story.

Or, you know, they're excited by neat looking tech displays because they're a good indicator of what games are gonna look like in the near future.
Damn, I must be a PWND NOOBZORZ OLOL
