Buh? Well, that's early. Crytek must be gnashing their teeth, and I really do feel sorry for them.
But opportunistic asshole that I am, I'm looking forward to zero day benchies so I'll know whether I should take the plunge next month or next year. Octo-core Sandy Bridge here I coooome!

Convenient. Watch them announce Crysis 3 will be console only.

There's a conspiracy for you. But the sad thing is you're probably right :p.

Singapore is in Malaysia, not Thailand.
Wow, I didn't even catch that. Though technically it's not *in* Malaysia either... might as well be though.
Skyline was fairly terrible... I didn't really see the Crysis link, aside from the monsters being somewhat seafood-inspired. Another case of a kinda cool premise (don't look at the light!) terribly executed.
EDIT: Ooh, the leak is bigger than I thought. Shall we all discuss pirates and piracy for a few pages now?

i'm gonna not play the game at all
on general principles
how do you like them apples crytek

Yerli can still go get fucked by a goat, but I kind of feel sorry for him indeed.
49 days seems like a long time in which a lot can be done, so I dunno if there's any point in even getting this leak with the demo supposedly coming around.
Briareos H on 12/2/2011 at 08:38
yeah. The leak is apparently also restricted to DX9 rendering, so there are even more goodies for the inner graphics whore to be had by waiting for the demo. It's not like I'm so excited about Crysis that I can't wait anyway (who is?).
Koki on 12/2/2011 at 13:16
Well I probably won't be able to run it on anything but "Normal" anyway so... I have a good excuse to get it now!
But nah.
I watched a few vids of the leak.
The gamespaces are much smaller. Not Call of Duty single street small, more of a small park small. On the other hand, this makes them more interesting and... vertical.
Chest high walls. Yeeep. Dunno if sticky cover's in, as the moron was playing it with the XBox controller.
Procedural destruction limited to said chest high walls.
There are only three suit modes now; Strength and Speed are combined into Power, and default is no mode at all as opposed to Armor in Crysis. Either the guy played a lot of Crysis 2 MP demo or they change automatically - you get armor when you get shot, you automatically enter Power when you sprint or jump, etc. I hope there's a way to turn it off because it saps energy like crazy.
There are stealth kills.

Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22. Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the series’ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.
Hahaha why do I keep hearing the voice of that Panau News reporter when I read it?
Bakerman on 12/2/2011 at 14:17
I was about to pre-order the game on principle to show support for Crytek... but then I realised that would be a different kind of stupid, based on what I've seen of this game so far. PC gamers is more than graphics whores.

"....... continues to damage the PC goods market and the gaming community."
Bzzzt: WRONG! You know what damages your market? It is the inclusion of unwanted third-party software that makes the customer call in to activate a game, or generally inconveniences me in ANY way before I can use what I pay for.
Guess what? I'm your typical wanted customer. I love shooter games and I've got a rig with 8 gigs of RAM that could plow through any modern game with full settings.
So, you tell me something. Now that your game has been "released" in one form or another, what is the point of including unwanted third-party software in the final product that costs more and drives away people who are willing to pay like me?
