I like it because it's the melting popsicle in my hand in summer.

Yes because, for example, giving the player freedom to approach objectives in several different ways, having largely unscipted combat/situations, and even allowing you to sneak around enemies instead of fighting them is completely frowned upon in this place. :)
this.
nothing beats open-world multi-path "action settings" to play around. It even made me endure the stupid military special forces meets Aliens story.

So stoked for this one - if only to see the amazing stuff Crytek will do in the engine. Still go back and play Crysis more than any other game.
Full Reveal Trailer of trailer Eva posted above & love how they put the "New York, New York" audio behind it...

Polish gaming site published a (
http://www.gry-online.pl/S022.asp?ID=6514&STR=1) story about Crysis 2 gameplay presentation in New York. The journalist (usually rather sceptical/cynical) seems to be very impressed.
The journalist praises incredible A.I. and reports that right now the player will operate in 3D space (while Crysis 1 was "sandbox adventure on flat terrain"). There are also some RPG elements (the player can ugrade his suit using some mysterious modifications that can be found during the game).
And rather important thing for all whiners: (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Morgan_(author)) Richard Morgan is responsible for the story. The writer was at the presentation and explained that he cooperates with level designers all the time (his work was not limited to writing the script). The game narration, he said, is inspired by noir fiction (there's actualy some mistery and suspense in the story, yet the scripted sequences are not omnipresent).

i wanna see new powers and some locations and most importantly: the AI. they did cut and deactivate a few AI features in Crysis1 that mods turned on so I hope those won't be abandoned. They had more options for behavior of squads vs. soldier alone and they implemented a "can see grass moving" feature and even random patrols/conversations/situational responses, remarks about wildlife passing by..." you won't need all of them in NYC but I hope they can raise that bar considerably.

AI, consoles, CPUs heavily optimized for rendering graphics, etc.

Mothra, it took 2 days for what you were saying to make sense to me, but that sounds like some great additions to the AI.
