Ok, guys check me on the fire arrow issue. I'm not sure I understand completely.
The intended way to open the secret passage is to use the fire arrow on the torches next to the statue. But, there is a way to open the passage without the fire arrow, but only before the book is read which makes the zombie appear.
If this is so and you've used the fire arrow on the zombie, you cannot advance without a reload. Is this correct, or have I misunderstood this?
there is a way
to read the book without making the zombie appear but I failed to find the readable that told me what to do and I'd replayed it from scratch before someone told me
but yes I believe you are correct on the fire arrow

Love this one.......played through twice.......finally found the Keeper's
room.............BUT.......is there a loot list ??
I was sure I had been everywhere, but I'm 600 g short!!! so
obviously , I've missed something big.
Still can't get in behind the face with the eyes that shoot
Help...anyone........Thanks :)

NAC, you don't really get in behind the face that shoots but there's a treasure in that area that is easy to overlook.
Hint: Check a tomb that you can't get into but can see into.
Hint 2: Look to the left when you're peering through the gate.
Spoiler: Ring the gong and then look for an open doorway in the next room that wasn't open before.
I have a loot list and walkthrough but I'm not releasing them until after the contest. If you or anyone else who is really stuck for loot wants the list, just email me.

Thank you Nightwalker :)
I never would have found that gong by myself !!!!!
I never did * see * it , but frobbed frantically in that area, and it
worked !!! I'm still short a lot of loot , but I'll wait til after the
contest is over. Still have other entries to play.
Thanks again :)

GREAT FM Melan!!! Just finished in 1hr. 45mins. on Hard and had the time of my life (I do sooo love city FMs and traversing the Thieves' Highway!)! Only thing I didn't like was the surprise zombie in the wizard's place (go figure ;) ). But 2 flash bombs later I was back in business; after first running around the room like a chicken with my head cut off (zombies/haunts seem to have that initial effect on me :o ) and proceeded to continue to enjoy this FM! Already had the loot quota so decided to skip the wizard's garden bit; but turns out I'd already visited the place earlier, didn't see anything worth hanging around for, so went on my merry way. Might just have to go back & check it out; that's how enjoyable I found this FM!
Thanks again for your hard work & effort Melan (and to all who contributed in this FM's creation)! Definitely worthwhile! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

You can actually read that book without summoning the zombie. There is even a clue. And there might be more to the garden than it seems. ;)
Good to hear you enjoyed it! :D

Thanks again, Melan! I see that you're working on a sequel to 'Bad Debts', which I also enjoyed tremendously! Great news! I have the utmost respect for anyone who can create an FM. Looking forward to 'Disorientation'!!! :cheeky: :thumb:
