has anyone else discovered the trick with doors and KO-ing AI - even when they are actively searching for you?
it's pretty damn unfair to the poor AI! :p :ebil:

Yep!:ebil:
Just about 99.9999% of everything that can be discovered in the games--including all the varied bug exploits--have been discovered, documented, and even turned into playstyles. :thumb:

lol I don't see how you can say 99.9% has been discovered since you don't know what has been unsdiscovered.
But yeah, there's probably no trick you will find that no one else has found already. Is there a thread dedicated to all of them anywhere? We could do it here!
1. The above "knock out through door" trick.
2. Leaning foward to knock out someone.
3. Using a rope arrow and rotating into a door to get through it. (Thief 1)
4. Thowing down a frogbeast egg under yourself while falling to take no damage.
5. Jump-running to gain incredible speed. (Thief 1)
Hmmm, all I can think of for now. At least non-map specific bugs anyway.

It's simple to say it's nearly 100% because after ten years of thousands of people crawling over every inch of not only the official missions, but hundreds of fan missions that have many of the same engine bugs, and no one in over 8 years has found any new bugs that weren't caused by newer hardware and operating systems.
Yes, there are threads, but the threads are old and the screenshots are all gone that showed off all the things that could be done.
You'll have to search the Archives, or even use Google to look these up, adding spaces sometimes and accounting for spelling errors. Usernames like 242, deadman, Golden Skull, Azal, Luthien, and Lytha (I'm missing so many here) discovered them and/or broke them down, showed them off, and took these to the limits, and/or named them:
Elevatoring.
Frogbeast Egg Jumping.
Keyholing.
Banner Transmigration.
Crate Stacking.
Door Jumping.
Bunnyhopping.
Rope Bounce.
Deathstage 12.
And many more!

Banner Transgression.
I think that's Banner Transmigration, no? (Sorry for the nitpick)

YES! Dangit! I knew something was wrong. Thanks for the assist. :o:D

Indeed, there are many awesome little bugs and manipulations that the clever taffer can use to his advantage. Very, very fun.

I'm sure this has been mentioned a million times but leading a fully alert AI (that is still pursuing you) into darkness and strafing around them for a blackjack hit will KO them fully awake, alert and attacking you as long as it is in an area where the light gem is completely dark.
This discovery made most previous missions that kicked my behind cakewalk, so I'm glad I noticed it when I did. I had never seen it mentioned on the forum before I uncovered it but I'm sure it was mentioned more than once before I did it. Find a spot of complete darkness and lead each one of your foes into a chase toward it, circle around and knock them out - repeat.
