theBlackman: Yes, I do. But please remember the difference between the sizes of video file recorded by FRAPS and demo file recorded by the game itself (demo file can be smaller by tens, hundreds and even thousands times!). Please remember that utilities like FRAPS are shareware, i.e. they do have limits until you purchase them. Please remember that using utilities like FRAPS is often makes gameplay worse because of recording of tons graphics and sound on HDD.
You can BUY a full working version of FRAPS, as you said. No one said that you were restricted to the Shareware. You asked about "can it be did" (paraphrased). Yes it can.
I don't know what jtr7 uses, but I did not notice any great lapse in the videos, presuming that you looked at them.

theBlackman: People don't want to spend much money these days, because they do like to use free software or even don't use it if a software (I mean - game ;)) they bought already can do what they want. I can assure you that nobody (except hard-core fans ;)) will use third-party utilities like FRAPS, if Thief 4 (and Deus Ex 3 too) will have an ability to record the in-game demos :).

But then I realized, there's something else that is driving me insane about games. Seriously! If someone walks up to me needing to talk in the middle of a cutscene I should be able to pause it. And if I want to skip the cutscene then I should be able to do so.
Yes! I always hate it when I've just started a custscence and someone calls. I always want to say that unless they're on fire or bleeding, they need to wait. But then I really enjoy cutscenes...
Despite that, I can understand that people want to skip one they've already seen.
Honestly, I can't imagine why developers wouldn't include these options as a matter of course.

Such an options are obvious to you, to me and to many other gamers, but developers can just...forget to support it. Did you play FEAR 2? You know, in the PC version of this game they (developers) forgot to support non-widescreen monitors:cheeky:. So you're right when you're talking about those options, otherwise developers can forget about them ;).

Totally agree with Taffer36. I've already seen the scene, please let me skip it somehow.
And, there are times the kids need something that can't wait--I'm not going to make them stand around while I finish watching my stupid cutscene (don't make me choose, dammit).

OsweetmotherofGod .... you've actually propegated, Q?
For some reason I find that thought rather disquieting. :weird:
;)
*Bump* As I stated before; skippable and pausable cutscenes are a must imho.

Yup, once every seven years, just like a cicada.
...or a serial killer.

Ah, good point. Cutscene skip/pause-ability would probably be pretty far down on any developers list (as it should be), and would be easy to forget entirely. As a gamer though its lack irritates me, thus I remember it.
And no, I've not played FEAR 2, or even FEAR. I wanted to but when it first came out, the requirements made my computer cry. I could play it now, but I have a stack of unplayed games staring at me accusingly soo...
Someday.

That's not logical.
