For those who may concern here's a pack of all textures from Daikatana ready to be used on Dromed that i edited with bright:

This pack contain textures suitable for castle and medieval/Gothic constructions, Sci-fi missions, and Roman/Greek architecture style.

Thanks Pedro, but why did you you use bright? That just reduces the colors to 256, which is no longer needed with NewDark. Keeping the textures at full color and saved in PNG or DDS format would provide higher quality textures. Also, it should go without saying, if the original textures are larger than 256x256 you can also keep them original size and not reduce the resolution.

I don't want to be a pain but I thought we couldn't, Or shouldn't use other game's textures? I have some awesome "Pain-Killer 1" textures I'd like to use but haven't for this reason.

In most cases, we probably shouldn't, even when giving credit properly by attributing the source. Some of us still do, though. I have a set of old Return to Wolfenstein textures which I love and have used in past missions, with attribution of course, but still probably not legally.

Yeah, but it's Daikatana. You can get it for a buck fifty on Steam. No one is going to care if you use their textures, especially if it's non-commercial.

Russ i didn't reduce the resolution of the textures, there are some textures in this pack with 1024X256 and i didn't reduce them, i had though to change some values like x192 or x97 which are values not accepted by dromed, note that this is a old game therefore it is natural that most textures are no larger than 256x256, i also took the work to select the textures for specific family folders. i din't noticed any difference in the colors change.

Ok then the sizes are fine, but if you used bright then it means you reduced them to 256 colors, since that's what bright does, which isn't good. You can group them however you want, but keep them as full color PNG files.

Ah, well in that case, as you were.

Of course, if Cardia has used bright to impose new palettes on them, then yes, they're properly mucked up. Even more so than if they'd been 24-bit to start with.
