The red cells are a sunken D shape. The green cells touching the walls give you a better idea of the boundaries around the brazier. show_all_edges may make things more obvious, and remember a radius stim comes from the centre of the object.

Is the level unoptimized? That can interfere with stims working properly sometimes.

With Alt-7 there are no lines passing near the brazier, only near the floor, walls, and ceiling.

I think I found the culprit. I have an unrendered lever inside the brazier. Moving it away from the brazier allowed damage from all sides, but putting the lever in front of the brazier didn't necessarily prevent damage on that side.

Well, duh. Everyone knows that you can't hide levers inside braziers without your stims having boundary issues! Sheesh, where did you do your internship that they didn't teach you that?

When I added the DoFlameSource script I didn't realize until yesterday that it added and removed Metaproperties with stims. Now it all makes sense.
