Excellent mission, Yandros!
Playing on suicidal level and confused why you used so many optional obectivies for really good plot things:(
Find dead rogue and
find talismans
should be definitely required on that level. It was pretty borring to reach icon through all these similar halls avoiding those enemies - really just stealth skill practice. I'm afraid some players would leave mission without optional plot completed.
BTW: is it bug -
find talismans objective appeared when I actually grabbed first talisman - but I before found secret room with dead Twitty, read her notes and found "old" notes also
?
Please don't accept like more criticism - your missions What Lies Below and this don't look for me as 100% from Thief universe: I feel different atmosphere even some known things are there. This FM was looking for me as I played TES IV: Oblivion again (in undead crypt quests). This is not bad, just mention your "alternative" style...

That's correct
By the time I returned to the room to place the rocks, both pedestals were down. I re-frobbed the button and just the pedestal to the left of the tomb arose. Repeated button pushing caused no such results on the other pedestal.
On the easy and hard levels, this did not happen.
Don't know why "What Lies Below" is on the heading...i didn't put it there. Should be "Dance With The Dead"

Can you ZIP up and email me your savegame in case I can't reproduce it?
Dawggon on 9/3/2007 at 20:16
Yan. I'll try, but since I have not done this before it may take me some time before I can zip and send it to you. Or I need good instructions .
Won't be back home until this p.m....

Are you using Windows Me or Windows XP? Maybe in Windows 2000 you can do that, too:
Just right-click on the savegame and left-click on "Send to... > Zip-Folder" or something like that.
Yandros on 9/3/2007 at 21:39
I know in XP that ZIP capability is built into the OS, plus there's oodles of freeware ZIP programs out there; I use WinRar most of the time.

Yandros,
Hey what a great mission. Loved playing it. :thumb: :thumb:
Thanx!

Great mission Yandros, thanks a lot for your effort!
Just finished on Nightmare/Garrett... gotta wait a couple of days and then replay in Duke mode
Even managed to find all secrets and most of the bonus objectives without help (which is extremely rare for me) due to the well placed hints, so congrats for the readables too!
Btw, the intro movie didn't play automatically for me, had to watch it manually. Not really an issue, but since that happened to NV too, maybe put a note in the readme, so people with the same problem don't miss that there is a movie at all.
Overall, great fun and I'm really looking forward to replay this!
PS: Will you release a tutorial about your speed-build techniques?
PPS: Erm.. speaking of tutorials.. didn't you want to write a bit about the "making of" WLB a few months ago?
Yandros on 10/3/2007 at 03:47
Yup, in fact I just wrote (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1565125#post1565125) one in Dromesday yesterday about how to do the Keeper glyph door thingies. As for speed building, instead of a tut, I may just organize a contest around it instead - the contestants would have about two weeks to build and one week to test their missions.
Dawggon - I've looked in that room and can't figure out how on earth it happened. I'm chalking it up to a fluke since no one else reported seeing it, and you didn't encounter it in your other two playthroughs.

How about
them Dancing Skeletons? :p
OK, this has been out a week now, so it's time to ask - has anyone else
danced with the dead? If you have, I'd like to know, but please do
NOT provide any explicit directions here, even under spoiler.
