You should walk above the maze and figure out the path at your leisure, then dive in and try to swim it directly. That's why I made the top see-through, so you could plan routes to the water arrows (and the gems) in advance. If that doesn't help, I can post a top-down view of the maze with the path shown this evening when I get home.
Thanks very much that would be great:D

http://www.wearytaffer.com/screens/dwtd/DwtD_WaterMaze.pngGreen path takes you to the exit. Blue paths go to the gems. When I play, I make 6 different trips, one to each gem and back to start to get my breath, then a 6th to the exit. Once you make it there you won't have to swim back to the start. :cheeky:

Not having played Thief 2 Fan Missions for so long, I apparently need to re-tune my abilities.
I went through the entire mission, killing all the enemy, then started on the loot/secret gathering only to find that the talisman triggers weren't working. I did club the appropriate wall block? to reveal each talisman before when I was rampaging through the level, but when I returned later on, I couldn't proceed.
For example, the 2 sarcophagi between the air talisman would NOT light up or frob. When I restart the game and go directly to the air talisman, everything works fine.
Did I do something wrong sequentially? I guess I can start over again, but has this problem occurred with anyone else?

I've had problems with this mission myself which I have deduced boil down to NVScript not being loaded by the Thief2.exe process any more. It has happened several times and is usually fixed by updating to the most recent version of the script file. You should try (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134166) v1.2.2 from this thread.

Thanx for the heads-up, Yandros :thumb: - I was still using NVScript_v109_2007-03-16. Not that I've had any problems, but have updated now.
Perhaps notification of such updates should be posted on this sub-Forum as well?

Is this NVScript specific to Thief2.exe or is it a general script. Do I unzip it to the Thief directory?
I noticed that I currently have NO file in my Thief folder named NVScript.osm. But I do have a file called NVS.osm. Is this the name of the older version?
Yandros on 7/6/2011 at 21:59
No, that's the file I included in the mission ZIP and renamed. You should copy NVScript.osm into your Thief2 folder, and then make a copy of it names NVS.osm and overwrite the one there. You should also drag NVS.osm onto the mission ZIP to update the one in there so it will use the latest version next time you play.

NVScript.osm plays havoc on Garrettloader. Every time I close the program, it pops up again, repeatedly. I ignored that and went ahead and played the fan mission, with no change in the problem.
The thing is, when I replayed the mission without NVScript.osm the other day, it appeared to work fine (at least where the air taliman was, I could frob the sarcophagi). If the problem is just some weird one time occurrence, then I'll simply replay the mission, assuming that the save files where corrupted somehow.
So I hope NVScript.osm isn't necessary for other fan missions, because then I have a totally different problem.

Ok, I've replayed the mission successfully up to the King's Tomb.
I got the puzzle in the tomb years ago when I first played it, but I can't remember what to do and I'm suspicious that something isn't triggering again. Specifically, I'm trying to engage low gravity using that button, but nothing happens.
Now either I've forgotten a step, or I can't proceed due to some problem similar to the one I encountered early in the game, which forced me to replay.
Sorry to bring up an old mission, but this one is always fun.

Hmmm, if you made it to the King's room, then NVScript is working fine. What happens when you frob the antigravity button? If nothing happens, then you're not getting teleported, which would mean that tnhScript is not working. That's Telliamed's custom scripts and I'm not aware of it ever failing before, so this would be new. If the door closes but you aren't able to jump really high, that's something else.
