I'll believe it when I see it. Assassins Creed was supposed to be a poor port and tbh I think it looks great on PS3. This may be nitpicking, but then it might actually be bad. Your "shithouse" comment was over egging it a bit, no?
(

Yeah, whatever. Loading screen for a minute. OMG what to do!
Dante's Inferno is selling really well in the UK, for both PS3 and X360. Well, it may not be "well" but its high in the charts. Interesting to see MAG in the top 5 too.

Well they wouldn't be the first mediocre games to sell a lot of copies.

And I can assume you have played them both sufficiently to make that judgment, right?

Hey, you watch Spoony? I have been following him since his early youtube days. Some great gaming and movie related vids.

My roommate got MAG as soon as it came out so I've been playing it a lot lately. It just feels like its not the game that it was supposed to be (all the hype made it seem like it would be the biggest thing coming for Sony since God of War but it got very modest reviews so far). It's just seems like a generic-style multiplayer shooter and the multiplayer support isn't even implemented that well to really compete with some of similar (while less massive) fare on the xbox. Sure there is potential in it, but as it is right now all of the major reviews pretty much agree. Haven't played Dante's Inferno but Metacritic has never been wrong for me before (and it already has quite a lot of reviews (from major sites) in the yellow, hence mediocre). Mind you, a mediocre game for me is still an average but probably fun game worth playing so I'm not saying those two are bad games. Hell I "wasted" enough time playing MAG so far :D. And will probably be renting Dante's Inferno soon.

Well I haven't played anymore than the Dante demo and it was ok. I like the crazy setting and the crazy stylings alot. Played the MAG beta alot and I really liked it. I'll be getting it this weekend I think. I can't say about Dante as I haven't played the full version (and I don't trust Metacritic - one of the low score is from Teletext ffs! If you've ever read it you'll know that they are to be as trusted as Loaded magazine or the frakking Guardian game section). But MAG... I thought MAG was anything but mediocre.

I really thought I would get and love Dante's Inferno, no questions asked, when I first heard about it and read some early previews. But now i'm getting a lot of doubts on whether its worth to be purchased brand new ... I thought gameinformer, eurogamer, and 1up were pretty reliable and they all give it pretty low scores. The game is looking pretty average so far but I think I'll wait until gamerevolution.com reviews it to make any final judgments. And what I meant with MAG was that it was fun most of the time, gameplaywise. But only average-to-mediocre on its other aspects, when compared to other team-based games like Team Fortress 2 or even Battlefield games. Maybe it gets better if you get a good team together, but so far it seems a very random experience to me.
