What a surprise, you never played RE4.
What a surprise, you missed another joke.
Why so se- naah.

An easy mistake to make, considering who I'm talking to.

interesting, if heretical. Purgatorio is my favorite cantica but the Inferno would make a better game. they better not fuck up Virgil and better not make it PC (will they include Muhammad)? I rather doubt the game will be that amazing. if it's just attacking ghouls with crucifixes dispersed between computer nerd adaptations of epic poetry then f- that.

I ignored TF's comment 'cuz, well, it's TF, but someone agreed with him so now I have to ask: what the fuck, how is that at all anime?

I've been on the fence about buying Dead Space for a while now. Doom 3 got old real fast for me with it's blast the demons, move on, blast the demons, move on routine. Is Dead Space any better?
And shouldn't it at least have an option to toggle a 1st person view? I understand about the HUDless system, but there's nothing like staring at the back of your little avatar dude to lessen the immersion factor.
Let's make a list of games that would be better if they swapped out 3rd person for 1st.
Mafia, Mass Effect, VBTM (hand to hand combat), Splinter Cell, Gothic1, Max Payne, Beyond Good and Evil, Hitman.

I don't know for MP1, but there's a FPS mod for MP2.

How would Max Payne have been better in first person? One of the best things about it, at least for me, was John Woo-esque moves you could pull off which would lose all their impact, not to mention feel completely weird, in first person.

I also think that Splinter Cell, Hitman and BG&E work very well in third-person. I can see how first-person would make these games *different*, but not how it would make them *better*.
