Or you could do a podcast style thing independent but related to the text interviews that covers different topics (or something like that).
That's another good idea! It could be a short audio feature to complement the "discussion" aspect. I'd have a different set of questions for it and let the author do most of the talking. If not a feature at TechRaptor, it could be for another site or blog I work for or one of my personal blogs (like the Thief Diaries).

Text interviews are more convenient for anybody who isn't at work though.
I prefer Endless Rain to Disorientation. The city flows better going from house to house, discovering new ways that you can reach the upper floors or sneak into the main objective. Disorientation I always felt like I was constantly running into dead ends and going through short sequences just to get a single piece of loot and then backtrack to where I was before.
As far Thief Gold compared to Thief 2, I felt like it was a bit of a technological thing, that the first game had a more limited color palette as well as less experience making 3D spaces (like some of the empty, blocky rooms in Bafford's mansion), but some FM authors have really made it into a developed and entirely distinct atmosphere and art direction than Thief 2's. Foreboding, medieval cities with plenty of yellow, red, and grey, while Thief 2's settings are much more modern and inviting with plenty of uniform wood and brick buildings.
