SOME FEATURES OF THE DARK ENGINE (BY WHICH I MEAN THEIF) ARE:
- totally realistic environments (how many games can boast this???)
- light and sounds really works (the guards can hear you too)
- the action/reaction technology allows for thinsg to catch fire and such, in a manner in which they may well do in real life (I'm not an arsonist lol I've never tried it out)

And besides, this is Wikipedia. Anyone with the slightest bit of common sense realises that everything in there should be taken with a grain of salt.
That depends on what articles you've read. Or have you only read, say, controversial topics, like Terri Schiavo or Abortion? Those, of course, attract POV and vandalism like a magnet.

No, it doesn't. Any dumbass with malicious intentions or just without a single clue can edit any article, any time. I browse wikipedia quite often myself, but I pity anyone who takes it as the word of God.

Not sure I understand how "No, it doesn't" is a reply to that.
Topics can be locked during events which might lead to vandalism, and pages where the content is contested carry warnings.
The fact that something isn't peer reviewed and completely authoritative doesn't mean it isn't useful.
I personally love Wikipedia, though of course you should usually fact check something unfamiliar to you. I mentioned this a few days in the Victoria thread - but I still think it's an incredibly useful tool, and there's no reason for it not to have a good Dark Engine topic.

And then people with better intentions clean it up. And there are peer review processes. Those are typically done by request.
Vandalism can be reverted as quickly, if not quicker than it was created. And it's easy to check if the vandal made any other edits recently. If those haven't been attended to, then I fix them.
Hell, in some cases, a vandal or some misguided fool may actually add some useful info. It's easy to integrate that into the article while undoing their damage.

Talking about cleaning up: I've removed some subjective comments about the software quality (i.e rants) of DromEd and the degree of realism of sound in the Dark Engine.

Sorry for raising this thread, but somewhere I heard about VERSIONS of Dark Engine:
Dark Engine 1 - Thief
Dark Engine 2 - System Shock 2
Dark Engine 3 - Thief 2
Is it correct? Is it should be added to wikipedia? Or its just an internal numbering?
