I have a problem with dark loader. Many of the missions I try to load now show the same objectives instead of the objectives that should be shown... For example: "Did Cudget rat you out? Find out what happened to your ex-partner". I'm thinking I need to delete some file(s) to fix this but I don't know which. Any help would be appreciated.

but don't delete the movies, crfs or the res folder!
Next, reinstall the mission you want to play and it should load properly.

Thanks for such a quick reply. I'll give that a try. Just out of curiosity, is Dark Loader still being worked on? Would a "Clean up files" button that took care of this be feasible?

Darkloader hasn't had updates for a while. You should consider switching to FMSel, in general it works better and will give you far less issues than Darkloader will.

Just looked at that thread. Looks like a Thief 2 loader. I only have Thief Gold. Actually I think I have a Thief 2 CD somewhere in storage, but haven't gone digging around for it. Is Darkloader the best or only option for Thief Gold missions?

FMSel will work fine with both games, but it requires the NewDark patch since it comes with that update to the engine. Your easiest route is to use TFix which will install NewDark, FMSel and some optional mods if you want them for T1/G.

No, FM Sel works for Thief Gold also. If you haven't already, you should patch your Thief Gold installation with the New Dark patch. There is a new program called (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733) TFix which will do it for you, and make it fairly painless. Just be sure to read the instructions in the first post.
