But of course you recognise this as your own failing, else it'd be a major complaint about the game.

Never could get into Arx Fatalis. My problem is that the "rune" system utterly and completely failed to recognize my spells consistently. That was practicing in a safe spot, let alone actual combat.
For me, it was fixed by enabling or disabling V-Sync.

I did do some searches for help with this issue, and the impression I got is that it was a major complaint about the game. There were a LOT of people complaining that they had to give up because they couldn't even finish the tutorial.

It was only last year that I finally completed it with the Arx Libertatis mod. It vastly improves the mouse input and spell casting, among other things.

Mouse input? Color me sold. Smoothing was essentially non-existent when I played it last.

I'm stunned that Henke hasn't made a video montage with "Can I Kick It?" by A Tribe Called Quest as the soundtrack.
Unless he has?
lol. Yeah it'd have to be that, or Kabuto's (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ky9QBiWYfo) Face Kicking Song.
Alas, I only played Dark Messiah until the first spider showed up, than I was like NOPE!
Not gonna play Metro LL for the same reason.

You wuss. It's only in the DLC.
henke on 13/1/2014 at 07:18
Really? No spiders in the main campaign? I might have to play it in that case.
N'Al on 13/1/2014 at 07:23
Plenty of spiders in the main campaign. Just no levels fully dedicated to em like in the DLC. ;-)
