I saw this guy on fire from the mine. How cool is this!
I think that is
the boss haunt that turned all the others. Very cool effect though. Makes me think how terrifying TDP missions would have been with this level of graphics.

He looked like any other haunt before he was set on fire.

Revenants.

Ahh, thanks Dave. At that time, I hadn't run into main guy yet, he's down stairs. That guy was trying to steal his job.

I can't believe I dragged my feet for so long in getting around to playing this mission...
SUPERB, seriously! Whereas the Honor Among Thieves campaign is probably the best out there right now as far as visuals go, this is the tops in the gameplay department for me. I've been waiting for someone to finally add some haunts (er...revenants) to their mission, let me tell ya, these guys don't disappoint. A couple favorite moments:
1. In the room with the first haunt, I was hiding in a closet (fearsome warrior that I am) when he came over and stood directly in front of it, so close that my character probably had to suck in his gut just to keep from getting accidentally stabbed by the sword skeletor was holding out in front of him. Then the haunt did that crazy echoey screech thing which not only was terrifying (and ear-piercing with headphones on), I thought it was him going into alert mode...and then he nonchalantly walked away leaving me in the closet soiling myself. FREAKING...AWESOME.
2. At the large room just before the staircase which leads down to the entrance hallway, I thought I would use some of my holy water and clear up some of the zombie infestation. A zombie is dragging his feet right in front of me so I load up a holy water arrow and take a shot. He doesn't go down and gets extremely pissed off, so I shoot another arrow at him to finish the job just in time to hear the sound of a door behind me opening. I spin around and see another angry zombie lumbering towards me with unnerving speed. Backing up towards the staircase I fire two more at him (the whole time with him scratching at me JUST out of range of my face), downing him. Then I hear shuffling from the stairs behind me as another zombie comes shuffling up into the room, also pissed off and moving way too fast. After some more fancy shooting and ducking and dodging he goes down, and I stand in the center of the room surrounded by re-corpsified zombies feeling like the biggest badass on earth. That's right, who you gonna call motha f***er.
3. That explosion right near the beginning. Thanks, I think you just cut off a year from my life expectancy.
This is my favorite TDM mission so far, great job dude! :thumb:
EDIT: Oh God...I just realized that the first line of my post sounds like a horrible zombie related pun. IT WASN'T INTENTIONAL I SWEAR! Also I'm not changing it.

I've actually liked having the missions come out staggered. I rarely ever got to play through all the maps from any contest in time to feel like I could judge them fairly.
So far I have played all the released ones (but still have to finish this one). Now that mine's in Beta I have time again ;)

Simply the best TDM FM I've played so far.
Atmospheric and really challenging, despite it's not big by size it took me about 2h 20mins to finish it (not counting lots of reloads). Also, many features I've never seen before in TDM FMs. It was interesting from start to finish :thumb:
PS: Those undead, they're much more dangerous than our old T1/2 friends.

I love this FM too, its sooo atmospheric. I can only imagine a large Dark Mod horror FM to come out later on. Oh. My. I do a lot more ghosting in dealing with these guys for sure. Things are a challenge once again, its all good. :thumb: Who needs Thiaf 4. I'm happy as a lark with Dark Mod.

Play. This. Mission.
If you haven't installed TDM yet, now is the time to do it. This mission is worth it. :thumb:

I've tried downloading this twice from different sources, but it won't load. The error message says "Joint 'Chest' not found for bind on 'ATDM_Ammo_Broadhead_1". Does anyone know what's going wrong?
