And the best, plot and gameplay-wise.

I couldn't agree more.

I didn't have any trouble seeing in T3, specially since there was a good brightness control in the config section. Most of it was actually quite realistically lit. T1 is the one making me squint a lot. I have the gamma slider up as far as it'll go. :p

Exactly! I mean, it's Thief: The Dark Project, for crying out loud. GUFFAW.
I beg to differ a bit, ZB. . I found the gameplay in thief 2 to be more enjoyable than thief 1. Plotwise, though, thief 1 is better.

Forced stealth missions, mechanical faces, and clanking squawking steam-powered robots? No thanks.
Lady Taffer on 16/5/2007 at 05:06
Oho, but does Dark Project have a rooftop mission? Didn't think so. :sly:

That may be, but one mission pales in comparison to a whole game. I love LoTP too, but, gold is gold. (Or DP)

Yeah . . .but, I don't know what it is . . somehow there's something in thief2 that just makes it so . . .playable moreso than thief1. I mean, how could throwing exploding frogs at a big piece of clanking machinery and watch it get blowed up not be fun?

Definitely preferable to overgrown lizards and the ratmen.

Ratmen were barely used in TDP, unlike the mechanical faces and robots, which were bloody EVERYWHERE in TMA.
