That's a real pity, I was looking forward to using your new app (The Duke Nukem Forever of Thief apps :-) ).
I tried changing the 'compatibility mode' to Win 95, Win 2000 and Win Xp - none of them worked for me. Is there a different way to force it to run in 32bit mode ?
Any reason you made Thiefinject instead of using Wininject ? How come Wininject works on 64bit, but Thiefinject doesn't ?
'Vanilla' just means with no FM's installed, just the OM's. Though of course with the gazillion fan addons (like yours and Widescreen etc) noones T2 is vanilla anymore :-)

Doesn't work with my Win 7 x64 either. I can keep on using winject but it would be nice if thiefinject worked with x64 too.

I don't have an x64 system at the moment, so take into account that any stuff I do with Thief would be on an x32 system. I will look into the x64 issue and try to fix ThiefInject though..
EDIT: Found something on the subject here -> (
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/494284/createremotethread-32-64-and-or-64-32)
Apparently..
Quote:
CreateRemoteThread 32->64 doesn't work.
CreateRemoteThread 64->32 works.
ThiefInject makes use of CreateRemoteThread to inject the .dll. Will make an x64 version of it then..
Back on track, I managed to further analyze how a Speed Potion works, hence why I didn't yet release the new build. Working on the Invisibility option and I can't seem to figure out how to stick disabling acuity and visibility parameters for Garrett without calling up "gen.osm".
More later, stay tuned.

FYI: Do you know the spdiers which can entangle you in a web? And you have to remove them via use/rightclick?
When "Unlimited Items" is activated, you cannot remove them, apparently they are counted as "items"

+ Thanks
(http://fyyre.ivory-tower.de/) Fyyre for opening my eyes (on x64/Vista/Win7, ThiefInject needs to acquire
SeDebugPrivilege to be able to open game process with full rights);

malau and
Kaleid, please return with feedback of your testings.
@
Chiron: I'm aware of it, played
The Seven Sisters FM and got kicked in the nuts :-) I would address the issue sooner or later, as well as the HP gain when you enable god mode (if you got 2-3 bars left of your HP and use health potion while god mode is on, you can't heal).
Cheers,

Thanks Sunshine.
Exactly the same procedure and T2 setup as I tried before.....
When I pressed F1, it said "Trainer cannot find game".
I don't know if it different because I am using the 'Sold Out' version (with the N*CD that I got from the link on these forums) and maybe you are using the original release ??
SunBeam on 21/6/2011 at 17:04
Are you sure you use the right application? Mine shouldn't say that..
malau on 22/6/2011 at 12:03
Oops ! You're right ! That was a Splinter Cell Conviction Trainer !
I tried again. It doesn't work by default (ie ThiefInject by itself doesn't work for me), but I accidentally tricked it into working by......
1) First running Winject and injecting your old cheat hack.
2) Then exiting Winject (whilst T2 is still running) and then loading Thiefinject.
I know it is TI1.2 and not Winject running because I fly mode now includes the new ghost mode.
I don't know if this trick will also work for Vista64 and W7-64 users ?
However, when I press F12 to exit T.I. the cheats carry on running. In fact I can still turn them on and off with the n-keys (!) Weird !

@malau:
- run ThiefInject.exe (make sure DarkHook.dll is in same folder);
- run game (make sure it's called thief2.exe);
- load a map, first one;
- try F1 key;
Also, when you press F12, that simply kills ThiefInject. It doesn't eject DarkHook, it will continue to remain injected.
Regards,
Sun
EDIT: I've managed to get XP x64 installed and ThiefInject doesn't seem to work there. Will revise.

Read your message about XP64, will await further news. Many thanks Sunbeam.
